My school allows cops to carry tasers on them during and after school hours. If things get out of hand, the cop zaps the student and takes them down. This has happened twice at my school.

Here's the first one: http://abclocal.go.com/wtvd/story?section=local&id=3806891

That article's bull. I was standing right there where it happened and she elbowed the cop and threw her fists at him when she was tasered. She then tried to get up and run again and that's when she was tasered again. She's a lier. Danielle Kolbe does indeed know Angel pretty well and Danielle completely lied about the cop smiling. That's why her family never went through with the lawsuit. Nobody likes Angel at my school, lol.

Here's the second one: http://rdu.news14.com/content/school_news/...=136&ArID=80159

I never saw this one, but it was just down the hall from me 1st period and my teacher had the door open and we heard her scream "No! It wasn't me! I didn't do it!" Apparently she was caught with marijuana and tried to duke it out with the cop. This girl, Jessica Hall, is a big girl too. And I don't just mean rather round, she's rather round and like 6'4. If I was the cop, I'd be afraid haha.

So, what do you think? Should tasers be allowed in the school systems?

Thank you! It took me awhile to decide where to put this. I really wanted it in debate but I figured someone would move it to school so I put it in the school forum. happy.gif

Kids these days lack discipline.

Light a bitch up he chooses to act a fool.

Yes, because coddling today's youth and 'asking' them to behave themselves isn't enough when they're growing more and more defiant. If a teenager rebels against proper upbringing or if his parents failed to do the job, then those disgusting civilian pigs portraying police officers should pick up the slack.

I agree. Those two girls at my school deserved it. They were out of control. It's not like it killed them or anything. It's better then gettig a beat down, I'm sure.

Anyway, I think this pretty much sums it up, haha. Tasers are fine, really. I think it's a pretty effective way to decapacitate someone who's trying to beat the daylights out of you anyway. And it doesn't leave bruises or cuts. thumbsup.gif

Who voted no and why? This can't be a one-sided "debate".

^ Not sure who did, but I know some parents at my school tried to argue that it's too dangerous, which is absurd. Tasers are only lethal at maximum voltage. The cops at my school use a minimum stun.

no. send the really misbehaved kids away, to a different school. where they can be disciplined, if the parents arent doing it. i would not want my kid being tasered thats not going to make them less violent in the future. it would probably just make them more angry, and more likely to cause harm to other people.

Hey Brandon, it's Danielle Kolbe. Ironic eh? Okay first and foremost. I was right there during exam week, in the hall way and I watched because I got shoved out of Angel's way. No offense but you don't know me but you've seen me. I don't know Angel, never met her, I don't talk to her, and you need to get your story straight. I'm not a liar. I watched it and there was no need for that. I was the only one to actually step up and do something about it.

However, you can't sit here and hypocritical when you have illegal drugs and weapons in your car and you physically assault an officer like Jessica Hall did...

You need to wake and realize what you say before you say it. You dont know me. You never will know me. For that, I'd like you to leave me be in my peace.

Danielle Kolbe

PS - For trying to get voted for, you really need to watch what you say behind other peoples back. It comes back to you.

Also, what's with the lawsuit bit? I didn't know Angel so why would I go to court? Again the lack of communication Bunn's ear has...*sigh*

So immature...I guess I leave it up to the generation to be more into gossip than facts.
