Jackie, also when a person gets 50 posts, requests a layout, gets what they want, and then never posts again. That's pretty frustrating.

I'm really tired of meaningless threads, it seems to be becoming a fad. Even some threads that COULD be interesting, the people who respond the them just respond with generic answers.

I miss Micheal. T_T And Nate needs to some around more.

They can't be the only ones holding CB together (along with a few other staff members). I mean I can honestly understand a few spamming here and there, but I'm tired of weeding through meaningless crap.

Oh yes and the 10000x usernames people make just to spam more.

And you know, if you all insist on making useless posts, could you actually attempt to include some sort of content? Justin and I, for example, can make topics that just sort of ramble on about nothing, but in the end, we've touched enough subjects that a discussion (or at least individual comments) can be made off of it.

This is what you prefer, but there are others that prefer threads that do not involve so much as content, but just having fun. If having fun means having content to you, then find or make threads that meet your requirements, right? It's not that hard.

Oh yeah and maybe it's just me, but I don't see how spam is so annoying. If it's spam then it's obviously short and if it's short, you'll get over it.

Spam is against CB's rules; it shouldn't even be such a big issue as it is right now. I don't want to read a thread that has some value or interest only to see people respond, "LOL, I know rite?" or, "I think that too." People access forums to hear other opinions or read something they aren't normally exposed to. Createblog is a wonderful place full of diverse people; when you create one hundred spam topics that focus on a specific group of people, which doesn't concern the majority of CB, then it gets annoying.

Something that is also annoying is that everyone thinks they have a RIGHT to post these kinds of threads, or they complain that it's not their fault, it's CB's mods' fault. Createblog's mods do the best they can do. You don't have any rights here at CB. CB works hard FOR you so you can express yourself and meet people. Createblog HAS the right to close whatever thread they want. What you do here is a privilege and I think a lot of people forget that.

In addressing shorter posts, I have no problem what-so-ever with short posts. There is a difference between something a mass amount of people will find humorous or interesting and something that hardly anyone, except a few select people, will understand. If you don't want to post a huge essay every time you post that's fine, but don't act like a moron in your posts or towards other people.

Createblog gives you rights, you don't have them. I'm not calling CB Nazis or anything, far from it. Createblog offers a vast array of utilities. When you sign up you agree that you will obey CB's rules. It's very simple. Createblog has the power to do whatever they want. It's like going over to some one's house thinking you can say whatever you want and eat everything in their fridge.

Of course everyone has the right to free speech, et cetera. I don't think Createblog as a whole would take civil liberties away from it's members. We should only remember that we do not have the right to go against the rules and we don't have the right to make a stink with the mods pull the plug on free-for-alls.

Well, that's kind of why I said "maybe it's just me." Seems like it's such a big issue to you. But for me, I see it's spam, scroll through it, or see it's a pointless thread, go to another thread, and I'm done already. I just can't see how it's such a big issue. Well, the problem with spam is that it's absolutely meaningless; as it could be taken as, "just fun" it hardly is. When member after member spams, it takes away content and quality at Createblog. When you take those things away, would you really want to spend time here? Thus, more members spend less time because they don't get anything out of their visit.
