I hate to be rude, but are you retarded? After reading some very convincing arguments, and saying yourself that anorexia is a little too extreme, you continue to say you're pro-anorexic. I'm not going to try and convince you otherwise because I know in a year or two, you'll look back and thing, "Dang, how stupid could I possibly be to think that this is more attractive and healthy than this."

I am not retarded. I think anorexia is too extreme for me but if someone else is anorexic i would think it would a wise decision for them. You can still be pro-disease but don't wan the disease or don't have the desease yourself. Plus i don't think the first pic is more attractive than the second. if people want to look like the first pic then they can. But i pefer myself to look like the second pic..something i am far from looking

First of all you can't be pro-anorexic and not anorexic.

What you obviously see anorexia as is an extreme diet. It is the complete opposite of that. True anorexia (not the recent "waahh I want to lose weight so i'm going to stop eating" trend) is not about losing weight. It's about being able to control something. If you have ever suffered from anorexia you would realize how scary it is, even for the person dealing with it. The thing is you can't stop, that's what makes it a disease. You know it's killing you but it is the only thing you feel you can rely on.

It's people like you that glamourize the disease.

I have seen many people die from anorexia. They did not change my mind. I am still pro-ana. that is never going to change unles i had family suffering from it. If someone wants to be anorexic then i would let them go ahead. i wouldn't care if someone was suffering from it. And yes..someone can be pro-anorexic. 5 years ago..i was not doing it to follow a trend. Now..i am just doing it to better myself. When I was suffering from it..it was an horrible experience. I was being made fun of for being fat. I went into a severe depression and i thought the only way i could get out of it was if i lose weight. i realized that was a bad choice

I've been to pro-ana or pro-mia blogrings and clicked on some xanga sites.

Most of you, yes, I'm including you, aren't real anorexics. Aren't real bulmics. Sure, you can copy their actions and the harm they do to themselves, but you would never be truly anorexic or bulmic. You are all just a bunch of whiny girls who want attention and want to lose weight the quick and easy ways. One of the xanga's I visited belonged to this college girl. All she could say was, "I'm going to take control!" and "I want to be skinny because people will love me and guys will hit on me!" She complained that no one knew her or cared about her because she tells them she has anorexia and they don't believe her. People rarely know that they are hurting themselves until others bring the problem up. She isn't anorexic. She just desperately wants attention.

I resent that you say that you could care less that people are anorexic. I've had self esteem problems. Especially about my body. But I lost the weight, regularly. I did it without having to go, "I'M ANOREXIC! I STARVE MYSELF!"

People who really are suffering from EDs ruin their lives. You aren't pro-ana. You just want to lose weight because you hate your own body. I say get over it and stop hiding behind a real mental disorder. We aren't going to give you pity and say, "Oh! Don't do that! That's horrible!"

And yes, most people who are pro- something, tend to follow in the actions. Pro-choice people advocate letting a woman choose whether or not she wants to keep the baby. They don't advocate abortions which is why they don't go get abortions. They advocate choice and rights. People who are pro-life would never have an abortion.

Althought it's still somewhat rare, a lot of younger kids are developing eating disorders. Kids as young as 5 or 6 are showing come signs are EDs.
