FOB stands for fresh off the boat. it usually means that an asian just came from asia, so his/her english is bad and he/she is not used to american customs.

I'm not so sure I see any real advantage in being Asian... besides everyone assuming that you know kung-fu. When it comes time to apply to college, you'll thank God you're an "underrepresented minority". Asians tend to get the shaft in the admissions process. Oh and generally Asians have to deal with strict parents.
