Advice for Acting by Jane _smile.gif
1. (The most important rule everrr) Always have fun no matter what. You don't have to struggle just to be big.

2. Learn to be professional and learn to take rejection.

Me, I'm a cancer >_> I'm pretty sensitive but these kinda things we all have to learn to do. When someone critizes your acting or what you do, don't take it as something to look down upon. Listen to what they have to say--they could be right and it could be something you can work on.

3. Stage fright: This is completely normal. Sometimes I get stage fright as well.

Well...have you ever watched Hannah Montana? Ever seen the episode where she's warming up? And she goes Ang Ang Ang Ang like a dog? xD Well always try to lossen up and relax before performing. It calms the nerves and let's you focus.

4. Breathe.

Probably the most important rule. If you ever feel like you're forgetting a line, take a deep breath. If you can't remember your line just continue to act the emotion.

5. Practice.

There are many actors/actresses out there. Many your friends and you can have a little fun and act out a movie. You guys will be practicing and sharpening your skills when you don't even know it!

6. Be a social butterfly.

Actors have very outgoing personalities, so why not you? Try talking to people more, start conversations (even with your friends!) don't be afraid to smile. This will definately boost your confidence and break through the shy barrier.

You should never give up. If you get rejected, try again! (= Trust me. That's just 1 of the 70 auditions that you will get turned down. The other 69 are up to you.

Advice for the photographers Submitted by Arjuna Capulong
To photographers out there:
If you're planning to be a photographer as your future career, you'd have an advantage if you start some kind of small business early, like now, or whenever you think you're ready (as soon as possible, however).
You can then start building your reputation as a photographer, while getting the gist of running a business. It's a pretty good experience, overall.

ALSO! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about barbizon or anything of the above.

There's still more to come...

That's what I originally wanted to do.

But now I'm thinking more along the lines of Physician or Pharmacist.. pinch.gif

That's weird, because that's what I orginally wanted to do. Going into the medical field requires a lot of dedication though, and I don't think I have that.

As for a career, I'd like to get into Photography and MAYBE filmmaking. I'm gonna try to get into computer graphics too.

I'm on the same boat. I'm into photography but I've also had some experience with film making and computer graphics.

Hm. Most of the time photographers are self employed so you can get that job easy...
It's just a hard job to do successfully. You need a lot of skill and patience and of course a lot of well paying clients. No it's usually not a well paying job from the beginning. You have to want to do it.

True, but I'm not in it to make a lot of money. I'm doing it cuz it's what I love, I get a certain peace from it. Plus if I wanted to make big bucks I could just do wedding photography. And as for movie making experience, all I can think of is using my gameboy camera when I was younger to make clipshows with my legos haha. I guess that doesn't count, but it was fun and took a while.
