Well was he? There appears to be nothing in the bible to suggest otherwise. I ask this as a serious question as it would throw so much light on current issues and debates about homosexuality.

This is in no way intended to offended Christians...it is a serious search for some truth. There is certainly nothing I can see in the bible that indicates that he was Heterosexual and homosexuality was widely practised at the time. It also interest me that of the twelve chosen to be his disciples they were all men.

Maybe someone can put me right on some biblical knowledge. But I cannot find a single passage where he sees women as 'desireable' and yet he is always on the lookout for men 'A fisher of men'.

Sure, Jesus was VERY friendly toward his 12 little men followers, but in the bible, he was like that to ALL genders - women and men alike.

Jesus was perfect. There's no way he could have been gay. The Bible clearly state that homosexuality was immoral and wrong. And there is now where in the Bible that says he was involved in any romantic or sexual relationship.

NO, Jesus was not gay. He does condemn homosexuality. The 12 disciples were like his best friends! He chose men instead of women because men were better leaders (at that time, now women are also good leaders). When he said he wanted them to be "fishers of men", that meant he wanted them to go tell others about him and "witness" to them, it was not a literal meaning, it was very general, including, women, children, elderly people, people of all nationalities. AND, Jesus was not gay because Jesus was the only perfect person to ever live and if he was gay, he would not have been perfect!

Jesus was not gay, but he was most definitely married and had a kid (I am not attaching this to The DaVinci Code).

He was a religious Jew. I don't care what anyone says, there is no such thing as a religious jew not getting married and having a kid. It is one of the most important parts of the Jewish religion. I refuse to believe that he didn't, because it was simply unheard of in that time.

Dude there is no were in the bible that states that Jesus was married with a kid I don't know what bible you have read but it was definitely not a christian bible....I think you need to get your facts right about the bible and Jesus before posting....and Jesus was not GAY!

Of course it doesn't say in the Bible; he's saying that, according to culture, Jesus would've had a family, no matter what the Bible says.

If you believe in the christianity, then you would kow that jesus was totally different from the adv. jew in that time period.

If he was a good Jew, he would continue his bloodline. That's the first step to it, and there's no skipping over that. 'Sources' say he was a good jew, from a Jewish family. Is that incorrect?

well...if Jesus was "perfect" then he couldn't really be human could he? Imo, one of the definitions of being human is to be flawed. So I guess if he was in fact human, then the justification that he was a perfect human so therefore could not be gay...doesn't really work. I'm not syaign he was...but I don't agree that just because God condemed homosexulaity, Jesus was automatically stright because he was perfect

Just because you're agnostic doesn't give you an excuse to be ignorant. There's still a debate today about the divinity of Jesus, whether he was human or not. Thus, according to Christianity, he could be perfect, as he isn't necessarily human.

i don't really think Jesus is gay. i've never really thought of it, and i never considered that He might be gay. but like some people posted, it doesn't state it in the Bible.
