Yeah, this is awful. I had the disservice of seeing the trailer about a month ago. I didn't know if I should laugh or cry. Coming from a person who wants to work someday in film, this almost hurts. I'm just hoping for Clerks II to dominate that weekend at the box office so that hollywood doesn't get any kind of message other than, "Snakes on a Plane loses." Otherwise, in a week you just know, "Rhinoes on a Train," and "Giraffes in an Above Ground Pool," will be thrown into high level studio production. The real sickening thing is that each studio and each production company gets thousands upon thousands of movie ideas and scripts each year, tons of which actually represent smart and creative people with good ideas. Now, imagine a New Line Cinema executive waiting to get this pitch. The pitch for, "Snakes on a Plane." Now, imagine how high he would have had to have been to think it was a good idea. So, they spend millions on this project, while someone with an actually good idea gets their script denied yet again. So awful.

Don't see this movie. Please. Do not pay to see this movie. If you can't resist, as many of us might not, as it is much like a train wreck. Just download it or something, pirate it. Just, don't give anyone the message that this could make serious money. Make it a failure at the box office so we don't have to suffer the pain of, "Koalas Inside a Submarine."

I heard about this through ONTD and it's gotten a lot of buzz. The premise is stupid... snakes on a plane?!?! But I'm still going to watch it... Samuel L. Jackson: I want these motherf**king snakes off the motherf**king plane! Best line ever. Or was it, I've had it with these motherf**king snakes?

And I think most people will be surprised at how well this movie will do.

I think most people will watch only because it's just that dumb. C'mon, SNAKES ON A PLANE?! The title alone is just...

And Samuel L. Jackson signed onto the movie without reading the script, just hearing the name made him want to do it. And they wanted to change the name but he said he wouldn't do it if they did.

Not watching this movie would be a disservice to ingenuity and a whack out of the norm of Hollywood concepts.

Uhhh, sorry but I think this is far from ingenious as well as quite the norm as Hollywood concepts go. It's just an awful new paint job.

But, eitherway, to pay to see this would be an insult.
Just pirate it or something, for real. Please.

They are called *Koalas*, Nate. *Koalas*. But yeah, I take your word for it. I haven't seen the trailer, and I don't plan on seeing it because it may tempt me to see the movie, which I know will be a gigantic waste of my time like when I saw The Amityville Horror remake. hug.gif throb.gif

Ahh ha. Koalas problems solved. That is, they may still be on the submarine, but it's spelt correctly.

Yeah. Please don't. Pretty please with Sna- - Er, cherries ontop!
Also, The Amityville Horror remake was worse than the original, and I'm sure that took some real dedication to accomplish.

From what I've read, they've gone back and done a bunch of reshoots to make this film more of a "comedy". I think they are aiming for the audience not to take this film seriously and just have a couple of lame laughs. In the end I don't think it'll do monster numbers but I do think it'll hit the 25M mark.

They did reshoots to take it from PG-13 to R... added more of what people wanted, blood and boobs. Apparently there is a raunchier scene of two people trying to join the mile high club... and a more gruesome death for one of the passengers.

And of course, they went back and added the one line most fans wanted Samuel L. Jackson to say.

I read an article about it in Time, and really it just sounds ridiculous.

Unfortunately, I have less to say on the subject than I thought I did.

well it doesnt seem like this movie takes itself too seriously lol. so thats refreshing in a action movie especially. but i have a feeling theres more to the movie than we think. cause all we saw was an effin 15 second teaser.

i might see it. its not like theres much better coming out..
