Well... I don't like wearing pads.
They're quite cumbersome in my opinion. So I use tampons. Don't believe the hype, if you use them properly (i.e; getting the proper absorbancy so they don't get stuck and not exceeding the 8 hour limit), you're not at risk for anything. I have to use pads at night though, 'cause sometimes I sleep longer than 8 hours and that's the time limit for wearing a tampon. |

I have never tried a tampon before because my mom doesn't allow me to.
I would like to try one but it's pretty hard to find the hole... I leak all the freakin time with regular pads and maxi ones are too think and make me sweat! |

there IS actually a third option, but i've only ever heard of it being employed in Canada. It's this reusable rubber cup insert that collects the blood and you have to wash it out every couple of hours..... It's supposed to be the Eco-friendly choice, but i wouldnt recomend something so unnessisarily messy to something thats messy enough on it's own.

OMGOSH I can't stand pads! this is going to sound a bit well, disgusting but we all get it; it's part of lifeee. with pads I feel it coming out so to me, tampons are better. there's the worry about TSS but I've been using them for like a year & I'm still okay. the only type of pad I ever use now is pantiliners.

My mother confiscated my tampons.
 I use pads, but I don't really like them. Though, when I used tampons, I didn't like the feeling of doubt I had at the back of my head. |

it sorta depends for me. I wear pads during the day ((unless I have gym class)) because I have to or it'll throw me off my dates...and during the evening, ((4 days a week, Mon.-Thurs.)) I go to swimming so I have to wear a tampon sometimes. I prefer the tampon just because it's comfortable. I mean, wearing a pad makes me feel like I'm wearing a diaper. So I prefer tampons but I usually wear a pad.
