I've never been affected by it, and I don't have a friend who's ever been affected by it, I think.

and who are asians mostly racist against?

There is no single race that has a racist predisposition. Don't generalize.

There has been many "have you been a victim of racism" in createblog. i made one myself a couple years back when roxy and trish were still here, and the conclusion was that racism can't be stopped.

i live in a town where mostly whites dominate. the blacks who attend the school are usually from the city and have to wake up at 4 or 5 to get here so they can get a better education.

the first racial remark i cared about was in 7th grade by this really annoying kid. since then, i think all the guys who think they're "tough" decided to be prejudice. they all called me a chink and a gook and shouted stereotypes such as asians can't drive. i got racial remarks almost every day.

so here i am, in highschool, and i STILL get made fun of because of my race. the other asian people from the other middle school can back me up, that they've been discriminated too. you don't see other white people getting made fun of, only the asian people.

i've lived in towns where there are mostly white people my whole life, except for this one town (which everyone calls will be the next chinatown) and kids as young as 8 would be going "ching chong chang" and all that sh*t.

it pisses me off, but if you cared a lot, you could probably report it to the school as a hate crime or harassment.

I for one, am not racist. But you can't help, when being in a group // church... surrounded by black people, feel very self-conscious... it's only normal...? _unsure.gif

It also bothers me when I talk to a 'friend' and they bring up racism. I've lost contact with someone because of that before.

well I'm the minority in my school.. does getting pushed around because I'm white count for anything? OOH or what about being called a cracker or a hoe all the time? mm k so I guess that means something...

but me, I'm not rascist & everybody in my school knows that. my lunch table has like every different kind of person there, & sometimes they say rascist jokes, yeah, but we all know we're kidding. but still I'm never the one to say anything. to be 100% truthful, I have never in my life said the 'n' word. happy.gif

It is. Why don't you come take a trip here to understand how bad racism f**king is you white piece of dog sh*t. I doubt whites wouldnt be racist if I lived in a town with majority of the asians living in it, because they can always back me up. The town I'm living in, it's like 95% majority of the whites here. Most of them talk sh*t about asians, think koreans are chinese, I mean they SHOULD JUST GO f**king DIE IN A CHURCH OR SOME sh*t

And yeah thats the not the way to solve it so stfu

I understand you even though I'm black. My school's full of Arabs and I tend to be very VERY VERY very self-conscious. It's like a reflex or something. However, I've not really faced racism because I'm half black and white. The full blacks and whites face racism every day, mostly from Arabs. It's terrible down here. Asians get laughed out because of their "facial looks". People do weird things to their eyes, just too make fun of them. One of my friend said "oh, you mean the chitong" and I almost had a heart attack.

Racism sucks.

I've been called plenty of racist slurs when I was in elementary school and middle school. I think I may have experienced something like that. I was at a store where there's one line. I was standing closely behind customer the cashier was helping because no one else was in line and she was the only cashier. Then, when it was my turn the cashier tells me that I wasn't in line and the woman who appeared behind me agreed.
I don't know if that was a race thing but it was ridiculous. I was definitely there first!

I'm really lucky to be living where I am. My school is really diverse, and I haven't had any blatant problems with racism in my city. We've pretty much become used to being around people of all different nationalities.

However, I do remember when I was in 4th grade, this girl told me that since I'm a Filipina I must eat dog for dinner. That hit me pretty hard. Racism hasn't really been a big issue for me since then, though.

Racism isn't big around here, but then again, I do attend a school with literally more Afghans than whites.

other asians???i think...well an example would be in Japan. Filipinos are being discriminated in Japan for trying to get a better life or a job to support their family back home, in Japan.

I've had my shares with racist people back in Elementary and today still. Middle school was the worst. It was, I would say at least 80% Latinos. 15% asians(14.2% if you don't count Filipinos as asians), 3.6% Black and the rest white. Well, when someone started beef with me, they would call me "Stupid Chino," "Pinche Chino", well you get the idea, no love. I would talk back and embaress them in front of their so called "homiesl." And I keep telling them, "Filipino, not chino, get it right!". And my eyes aren't even that slanted or chinky. Reasons I got in alot of fights, but never suspended, coz its never my fault. Ever since day one of middle school, i've been picked on along with my other friends who were asians. Not all the Latino students were picking on me, only the ones acting hard with their "crews." I had mexican/chicano friends who also hated those people being racists, and pretty much backed me up even when I didn't asked them to. Some of them were also in crews, but their not ignorant, stupid, racist, assholes, who think their tough coz their crew would back them up.

Yeah quite a lotof times actually. At this Italian restaurant, when we go in, we're really the only Hispanics in there and everybody just turns around and gives us looks. The our waitress wouldn't ask for our order but actually went to attend two other tables that came after us. They were .. white. I feel so uncomfortable when i got to that place. I don't say a word.

My sister and I once were talking in Spanish in a club because we didn't want people listening to our conversation when some white girl beside us was like "WTF? We're not in f***ing Mexico! Talk English, you f***ing Spics!" After that, my sister broke her face.

We weren't even Mexican. We're Chileans. I have nothing against Mexicans but being called something else is really offensive.

I've had many experiences. My neighborhood has mostly black and hispanic people. I'm from the west indies, but i'm really light. When I'm coming back from school I have to pass by this auto shop and sometimes the highschool kids who work there will make annoying remarks.
The school I go to contains mostly koreans, chinese, and whites. To them I'm black and I live in the "ghetto". One of my closest friends constantly makes fun of me. She says things like, "Your ghetto brothas and sistas must be so proud you're one of the smartest kids in a cracka school", "did you say hi to your ex-convict today?", etc. I used to find it annoying, but now I just ignore it.
I know some of my asian friends who wont talk to the black kids at school and some black kids who call my asian friends chinks. I'm often caught in the middle and it's always uncomfertable.
