I don't know if this topic goes here, but I want to ask few questions to the people who have cyworld. Do you have to have a korean security number to register or is there a way not to use your korean security number? Because I really want one. I used to have a Korean security number, but now I'm a U.S. Citzen so my korean security number is taken away from them >.<;;;

Also the 2nd question, what's your cyworld site? cause i like visiting and jock their layout lol jkjkjkjk. but they are beautiful :D

nah, i'm chinese. i can romanjize korean though (most of it), but i can't translate. i got this translated from somewhere. the translation is kinda vague, but it does say something sorta about how you need a social security number (the translation said something about seoul, which is giving me the impression you need one from korea). they require your social security number on clubbox also. i'm just wondering... is the whole social security thing in korea a law when u register for something in a korean website?

If it's a law, then you'll need a korean social security number.

well, it's from south korea.

+ edit

the social security number isn't optional when it comes to clubbox. i heard from a bunch of people who use clubbox saying you need a korean social security number when using clubbox.

I have cyworld now =)

except that I rarely use cyworld.....

cause xanga and myspace is better xD

To create a cyworld homepage (helpful for people who dont have korean social security card)

1. Scan or take a picture of your passport and everything has to be clear and can easily read it.
2. Type in your full name too.
3. Type in your date of birth.
4. Also scan your school id picture too.

Then email all this to the person who made cyworld. I don't remember the email address. hope you find it there >.< it took me a week to get a cyworld :) good luck to you guys :)

Isn't that kind of unsafe even though cyworld is owned by the Korean government? I mean, if you think about it, if your internet connection wasn't very secure, someone could have intercepted that email and gotten your passport numbers and such and may have possibly stole your identity. Or maybe I'm just too paranoid.

That is awesome. I have a Chinese cyworld even though I don't speak Chinese at all I use a website to translate it to English. I looked everywhere not knowing which one is theirs what about Chinese? I also want to give them a gift which I have to wait until Donghae's birthday and their anniversary too. I want to let them know.
