Just saw it yesterday. It wasn't that bad. It wasn't scary at all, but it WAS disturbing. The story was wierd, I think it pretty much leaves everybody thinking "wtf?", and mostly cuz of the ending. I don't ever wanna have a bad dream like this movie T.T

The movie was pretty good. It wasnt scary at all for me but a little suspenseful. I was confused about the ending until I eventually figured it out.

Planning to watch it soon, heard the story is similar in aspects to the first silent hill game except with the changing of some minor things such as the main character.

oh man oh man oh man! My best friend and i went to go see it the other day and it SUCKED as a movie but it was COMPLETLEY AWSOME if while you watch it you think of it as a video game.
It had everything from like... secret clues you had to find in order to get to the next level to parts where, like...you know how in some video games you'll complete a level and the controls with be disabled for a while so that some character can tell you a story or whatever... or dialogue comes before you move onto the final level or boss? it did that in the movie too. it was SO based off of a video game, and i totally dug it.

^It didn't exactly suck. There were scenes that made you cringe or say, "Damn that gotta hurt!" or parts that make you...intense and a bit scary? The sucky part was it didn't give me nightmares. and the ending sucked. I thought she was gonna kick ass with the lead pipe like they do in the game, but NOOO let the cop do the job! And boy was it only me who found the scene where she has to go through the nurse puppets hilarious?!

LOL!!! i thought those nurse puppets were freakin hecka funny!!! i could not stop laughing! biggrin.gif some parts of the movie did seem creepy like painfully creepy blink.gif but in the end it wasnt really scary, i still slept like a baby that night.

I saw it tonight with a few friends. I really loved the music but it totally sounded weird with the movie! ahahah oh yea, I didn't get the end..... someone explain?

The way I saw it. Was that they died
in the car accident. And their souls
were with the people that burned. So
in order to rest in peace, they had to
fight off the evil spirits and do what
was right. There was two realms, in
case you didn't notice. Like when her
husband was walking around, the sun
was really bright. But whenever she'd
be on the screen, it'd be like a dark
almost cold looking color.

the way i saw it, if you played the games. they get sent to thier own personal hell dimension (SH:1-4) where they must battle thier own fears, or share someone else's fears. 3 realms.

QUOTE
...Seven years later(SILENT HILL 1), Alessa is now fourteen and still hospitalized in that sick room while the demon slowly grows in her womb, feeding off her hate and resentment. Her pain, suffering, and hatred have grown so strong that she now vowed on revenge. Alessa's power was growing stronger, due to the power of the demon within her. With the power she had, Alessa dragged Dahlia and the ones involved in her burning into her darkest nightmare. She pulled thim into another dimension that she created with her will alone. It's a world that she controls, and a world where all of her nightmarish delusions come to life. It exsits on the boarders between hell, purgatory, and our world. Her world has two states, a calm state and a dark state, depending on her how she feels. When she is calm, a thick, white fog shrouds the streets of her world and ashes slowly fall from the sky. When she is angry or in pain, the darkness from her nightmares takes over and everything is covered in rust. In order for the demon to be born, Alessa must become one with her other half again. The demon within Alessa calls out to Cheryl who is Alessa's other half.

I was close enough. I didn't actually
even play the games. I should though.

its in all titles including the movie.
sh1&3,sh the movie: cheryl/heather/alessa's version of her personal hell that she created alone.
sh2: james sunderland's version of hell, after he killed his wife but tried to deny it.
sh4: walter sullivan's hell, he killed the apartment tenants, henry was just pulled in.

^But on the third one, it was just because of her birth right? She was meant to bear the anti-christ. She didn't mean to create it D:

I know, big bump but since the topic was made, I figured what the hell.

So I've been watching the movie. I actually find it pretty damn entertaining. Then again, I've always been fond of cheesy horror/sci fi films. The storyline obviously isn't much in canon with the games, but I thought that the character referencing was done well. I LOVE the costumes and make up.
