My point is that sexuality is imprinted long before a person begins to feel attraction towards anyone.

its because you're genetics cause you to be attracted to the oppisite sex for mating purposes. the reason it dosn't fully kick in til puberty is because before puberty you can't reproduce.

So by saying it's genetics..we're going to be pointing the finger at our straight parents for making us gay?

Hypothetically speaking..i'm not gay.

But how would someone carry a gay gene? Like..the two parents would have to have, for example, both Gg and Gg?..

I thought the human genome map was already done?.. ermm.gif

It's a stage of human development. I don't have my psych textbook handy, but I'll try to remember to cite the source when I go back home for break in a couple weeks.

it comes from what you experience and what you learn around you, it's not an automatic response when your younger you just decide to be that way.

[SIZE=7][COLOR=red]a person is born gay, or in my case lesbianl. you are how you are, choice has nothing to do with it. if i had a choice of who i was physically and sexually attracted to, believe me, i would completely choose men i personally think that this shouldn't be an issue, because think about it. throughout your life you hear thousands upon thousands of sexual discriminatory remarks toward sexual orientation.
you hear 'dyke' and 'queer' and 'fag' 'fudgepacker' 'carpetmuncher' so many different things, do you really think that if a person could choose if they could be gay or not that they would be gay?
sorry. bad mood. ranting. apologize. issue always makes me mad. mad.gif [FONT=Impact][SIZE=7]

No way, I don't believe that people are born gay. If the world were only men and there were no hot girls to look at to make me feel better, then I'd probably be forced to be gay. But then it wouldn't be gay because it would be the only option... tongue.gif being gay is still wrong...because it goes against the laws of nature...like child molesting

QUOTE(saintruthanne @ Nov 26 2005, 11:27 PM)
wow...where do you begin with all the stuff people are saying? okay one person said "homosexual couples are good becuz they adopt and foster kids." okay...so lets have everyone become a homosexual couple...they there won't be anymore people to adopt or foster.

You're not born being a homosexual. Its a choice....becuz homosexuality is NOT natural. If its so darn natural, how come homo couples can't reproduce? becuz its not meant to be that way.

If homosexuals grew up in devout Christian families, who cares? So what if they know its wrong? Obviously they've been exposed to it somewhere, i.e. public school, TV, possibly church....and they might be rebelling or they don't agree with their family that homosexuality is wrong. You know that picking your nose is bad, but you do it anyway right? you know that lying is bad, but you still do it right?

And, by the way, i'm not justifying being kicked out of your house.
*

you completely twisted the meaning of homosexuals adopting kids. the only option for them to have a child is to either have one from a previous heterosexual relationship or adopt one. that doesn't all of us have to become homosexuals to adopt kids.

i am seriously pissed at people who say homosexuality is a choice because nobody would want to be homosexual. do you know about gay beatings? do you know about pastors/religious radicals using electric shocks to cure people of their homosexuality? obviously, you don't because then you wouldn't disrespect homosexuals like that. by saying that they choose to be homosexual, you basically say that it was their choice to receive all the humilation, trauma, and isolation they get.

btw, picking your nose in front of other people is bad. but you have to clear out your nose sometime (as long as you use a tissue)

People don't understand that when they are claiming that homosexuality is unnatural they have to reconcile the fact that all kinds of animals from all over the world exhibit homosexuality.

Penquins, dogs, cats, bears, and all other kinds of animals. Both domesticated and wild animals show exclusive sexual relations with members of the same sex. Just by these numerous observations alone, it seems rather obvious that it does occur in nature and is natural.

Agreed.

I do believe that people are born gay. I mean, with all of this negativity towards homosexuals, why would someone CHOOSE to be that way?
