Why is Long Island City HS in there???
It's the worst HS ever!

Cardozo's on there :]
My dad went there for HS.
And for my mom, she went to Townsend Harris and that's on there too.
Edward R. Murrow's on there too, and my cousin goes there.
Forest Hill, my zoned school is on there? It's not that good..but I don't go there anyways.

and I just noticed that most of the High Schools on that list are located in NY..
Sigh..too bad my HS isn't in there..Can't Frank Sinatra be in there?!!

both `Dozo and Townsend are like at the bottom of the list though. Tech and the HS for Arts and Business are the first two NYC public schools on there. i'm suprised that Stuy, York, and Bronx didn't make it...

LICHS isn't as bad as you think. it's actually pretty good.

& i live near you. in the 11366 area. at least my zoned school, Jamaica, isn't on there. and thank God i'm not going there. i'm going to York!

k, this list is totally wrong, well for the ny high schools because those schools from ny that made top 100 are not even well-knowned and i never heard of them, where's all the specialized hs? they suppose to be at least top for ny.

I'm not surprised that it didn't make the list. I'm happy it didn't, don't buy into all the hype. Stuy is overrated.

OK, wow. If you didn't/don't go to the school, you have no right to talk bad about it. kthxbye.

While I agree that Stuy should be up there, if you read the article titled The Public Elite, you'll see that they excluded Stuy (and Hunter) because "so many of their students score well above average on the SAT and ACT."

My school is 2nd in the County after Walton.

Representtttttt

That's funny, we're second in the county after Duluth.

What number is Lassiter, by the way? I saw Walton, and I see Pope at #914, but I keep not seeing Lassiter somehow.

Actually, I think it just doesn't really matter. I was looking over it, and the calculations weren't really making sense, but my friend said it was complete bullshit because they basically take the number of IB and AP tests taken and divide it by the amount of graduating seniors. I think he's over-simplifying it, but it still seems like a pretty dumb basis. We really just have a lot because was have Ib as well as AP, so like on Monday's literature exam, we had more than twice as many people taking it as any other Gwinnett school because we had 4 junior IB language classes in addition to the 2 senior classes.

Uhh, yeah my highschool surely isn't on there.

Nevada isn't exactly the best place for education. _unsure.gif
We were in the bottom seven for meeting national standards or something like that.
