Thru da infinite knowledge of my bfam (brotha 4m anotha mutha) L!ckitySplit, we realized dat we have a really problem with 1 of our boys
 dis dude is as stubborn as a jackass. he's a grown ass man and obsessed wit basketball (thinks he's the nxt Lebron). That's all he talks about. His pick-up line is... "Do u like basketball" He's letting it take over his social life. He's forgotten that there is a such thing as LADIES 2 be truthful, i think the boy is a loserUr advice would be very much appreciated |

Maybe you should talk to him about it. Tell him that he's getting too into basketball and you think it's distracting him from reality.

i have had many weird friends... some i couldn't take and "changed" friends... but my now-best-friend is kinda weird... makes weird comments/replys... but most of the time i wouldn't care or notice...
but, no one is perfect... |

yeah okay guys i know him too, and he really IS creepy about this lol. antho(PussyPumper) is not exaggerating at ALL.
first of all, the guy is 18 right. yet as much as he talks about how much he plays hes not really good enough to play on the freshman team XD. yet if you tell him his plans to go to the NBA are unrealistic, he will get pissed and storm off  . he's 18, has no car, has no job, has no real friends his own age either. all we try to tell him is that he needs a real plan in life. but he says his plan is BASKETBALL. its effecting his social life also, he'd just go up to random folks and try to make conversation by being like "You play basketball? i play basketball. i practice everyday. im trying to be like Dwayne Wade. yes its this bad guys lol how in the hell can we help this kid? he's our friends brother so he follows us around. so he basically goes wherever we go. thats how we know him well. we just want him to get a grip on reality and have a plan in life.

I think you should tell him that he needs a back up plan. Like some actors took time off acting to get degrees in something.
Stop trying to discourage him. So what if he enjoys basketball? That's what he enjoys. If you don't like that and/or think that he's weird then don't hang around him. It's not that hard. |

i not only have weird friends but really crackheads and perverted, i have them 4 three periods at my school. but sometimes it makes me laugh. i think he should get help or chill out 4 awhile. i agree with chii and the thing about back up plans.

Lol, chill out. If the kid doesn't want ladies, maybe that shows that he's really dedicated to basketball. Maybe it's something he wants to pursue when he's older. But if it's really THAT big of an issue, just calmly tell him that it seems he's forgetting other important things in his life because he's constantly thinking about basketball.
