Delete that picture, it's highly offensive.

People can take offence of the word "gay" but not that? That picture is a disgrace, and so is the person who posted it. Jesus dies for your sins, and whether you believe it or not doesn't matter, posting something like that is truely sickening.

I agree with Paul. I'm not a believer but that's offensive. Very. And it's just too...just take it down.

Holy Cow!

Hmmmm.
The picture I posted was a screen capture from the 2004 film The Passion of the Christ. That movie made $370m in the box office. It became the highest grossing R-rated film of all time. The film was recut and re-edited to fit a wider audience. Five minutes of the most graphic footage was cut out. The recut version was pulled from North American theaters after barely any time at all. It recieved poor attendance. Millions of christians can't be wrong, huh? I guess strawberry jam Jesus is their favorite too! happy.gif

Superstar singing Jesus only made $13m. Clearly, we all like jam Jesus. Singing Jesus is ugly and boring! _dry.gif

I learned about that Passion Of The Christ being the highest grossing r-rated moving thing in my theater class. You know your movies. Good sh*t!

You'll also notice that the South Park movie made a hell of a lot of money, because people love controversy, and that's why Passion of the Christ drew so well, it was controversial, but hey, people believe in Jesus, so they must be idiots, right?

Is there really a need to go around going out of your way to offend people? I'm all for religious humor (or humor of any variety), but, generally speaking, humor is funny and clever. It's perfectly acceptable for one to hold his own religious beliefs, and even discuss them in the appropriate context, but offense for the sake of offending others--what's the point? Where's the need--aside from whoring attention?

At this point, I sincerely do not care. stubborn.gif

In what way? Does it make you feel better about yourself because you're going out of your way to try to make other people look foolish and stupid?

Yes. stubborn.gif

You pinned me for just who I am.
Shower me with more of your self-righteous wisdom.
Clean me up! Soap doesn't work half as well!

QUOTE('Acid Bath Slayer' date='Mar 8 2006 @ 7:37 AM')
Sarcasm is, by far, one of the lowest forms of wit. It's rarely clever, and in most cases, unnecessary. However, it can be funny at times. The problem I see most with sarcasm is that people overuse it. Once sarcastic responses and comments become common place from any given individual, a kind of hostility seems to sit with them. Not good. Bad.

There's no need for sass.

I don't understand. Am I reading the same thing?
Note the bountiful realm of exception!
And the, "Are you serious?"
YOU HATE JESUS?! WHAT??!!
Jesus the jew on a crucifix breakin' my bawls!
You are not normal. We do not like you.
Stay away from me.
Angry face.

I haven't said anything until now, but you have seriously offended me.

You've made fools of believers like me and don't seem to care... then again, you probably don't even care about what I'm saying anyway.

You seem to know about the Passion of the Christ - the picture itself isn't offensive, but the context of which to placed it is. And the "Jam" comments...

Michael (mipadi) - that was brilliant!

Are there any Createblog members who you pretend to dislike/aren't really supposed to like, but secretly on the inside, you really like them?

To define like: Any measure of liking somebody, personality, their posts, or whatever doesn't sink your canoe.

Unless Jesus is a member of cB, I don't see how any of this is really relevant to the conversation started by Paul. rolleyes.gif

The pointless DISCUSSION is over now, Acid Bath Slayer just has nothing better to do, so the best thing to do would be to let him talk to himself.
