^ Well, any serious pedophile could easily fake a photograph.

I'm past the point of thinking I'm invincible, so I wouldn't be making any out-of-town trips to meet someone on my own. If I ever do meet anyone from cB, I'll have Brandon with me and whatnot, so I'm really not worried.

As of right now, I think Christina is the only person with my address, and I haven't given out my phone number at all.. I have posted my area code, but it's for my cell phone and I don't LIVE there so it doesn't matter.

I wouldn't worry about that, just use your best judgment, don't give out information if you think you'd get in trouble for it, and don't go meet someone by yourself.

Libertie, I meant as in holding a picture saying you cB name or something of the sort, video conversation, etc.

That's the only way someone could prove to me that they're real. Though a lot of people on the internet know my info, it's easy to obtain people's info.

Just becareful. :)

Everyone has my phone number!

I don't!! D:

Anyhoo... it shouldn't really matter as long as the person that's giving out their information is aware of who the person they're giving it out to is.

I don't think we're giving out too much info on cB. But that's just me.

In answer to the topic question, no, I really don't think too much information is being given out in cB.

Having said that, once you start using the internet, participating in online forums and keeping online blogs, you make yourself potentially vulnerable to predators. That's not paranoia, it's a fact. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't enjoy yourself and feel relaxed here. Just be responsible for yourself and use good judgement when giving out details of your life.

It just depends on who you're giving the information out to.
If it's a close friend that you may know personally that goes on cB, then by all means go ahead.
But if it's something serious like your home address or your credit card # [if you have one], then that's going too far. tongue.gif

I think that as long as you don't post real pictures of yourself and give out your address, and flirt with people you don't know, you should be pretty safe. I haven't heard about any pervs on createblog before. Only on MySpace and chatrooms and such. I agree with Jorge

This forum is probably one of the safest because online predators are usually from people getting into spots where they will meet eachother, etc.
