tornado just passed by me. i heard the freight train sound. faintly.

i don't think it's a really powerful tornado.

yea.

possibility for more, apparently.

supposedly it passed pretty close to where i am.

hail too, but only nickel sized. some people have softball sized hail, apparently.

doesn't seem like it did any damage.

more to come supposedly.

i love storms. but i hate tornados.

ehh.

^Same. I live in Oklahoma, and my elementary school was destroyed by a tornado when I was younger. My home has never been hit, but I've seen plenty of damage. People new to the area always freak out and unplug everything and run for cover when there's a tornado watch/warning, but to me it's just an annoyance when you're trying to watch television. :P

"Breaking weather" on the news means nothing to me. Until I hear the freight train or start seeing large hail, I'm not worried in the least.

Yeah, that's how it is for me too. Especially tornado watches, they're jokes. If I had a dollar for every one I was in and nothing happened, I'd be rich. :p

Oklahoma has weird orange dirt. :/

I've never experienced a tornado before.
But what I have eperienced, is a hurricane.
I live in nyc and a couple of tears ago, there was a hurricane. It wasn't a strong one, but when I looked out the window, everything was all over the place.

And my basement got flooded too _dry.gif

Hahaha, did we talk about this in the chat the other day? laugh.gif "Red mud" is what we call it, it's disgusting and it gets all over your car.

But yeah, we actually had a tornado watch the other day when I was at work, and I had no idea until I got home. XD

Wow, they occur pretty often.
I've never experienced one around my area [Vancouver, BC]
I'd like to see one some day, though.

I've never had anything major except for tiny Hurricane Isabel. Maryland doesn't get much, and I'm glad.
