how sweet, making this thread is giving her what she wants. attention.

"bashing isn't nice" well is the world out there nice? she was complaining in chat so i told her to shut up already. then she starts telling me or just everybody else how she is crying now. WOW good for her, she cuts herself. tell her to go get some help. what are e-people going to do? fly a plane, ride a train, drive over there to help this supposedly poor depressed girl?

i don't feel guilty. honestly i could careless if this girl decides to kill herself over a small issue. don't blame her cuts, bruises and crap on me. she did it herself. she has a choice. if she wants to die, then that means shes a coward. too bad. pc out

She came in, started saying some stupid sh*it about how her dad doesn't pay for child support and all that. What in the fu*ck are we supposed to do about that? Say sorry yeah ok, but she kept going on about it. One of us cracks a joke, and she takes it like nothing then she starts bashing on herself. She even went to go on and explain why she was the one getting picked on. "I take it and you guys dont" Well thats the problem don't you think? I've faced and tried to help too many "emo kids." I'm not keeping my cool on the subject anymore. Little weak half-assed bastards don't deserve to live.... if your gonna cut... cut deep and rid the world of your weak, cowardly, unegocentric lives... you should not be allowed to keep on going if thats how your gonna take it.

Wow, that's extremely ignorant and insensitive.

Have you ever thought for one moment to just well, shut up? Why should she be the one to shut up? Sure, you don't like her choice of subject. Did you ever think that some people might be lonely and have absolutely no one to confide in? Of course she's going about it in the wrong way, but that doesn't mean you have to be rude to her and tell her to "STFU".

Think about this for a minute. Do you think this improved the way she is feeling at all? Do you think you helped her? Do you think you did a good thing/the right thing? Are you satisfied with yourself in the aftermath?

Just because you think you're so tought and have no issues doesn't mean everyone else should just "shut up". Not everyone can handle pain as easily. Think about how this girl is feeling for one minute. Would you like it if people told you the things you told her? (I don't know what you told her other than to STFU, but you know what I mean)

If you're going to do anything, you should do one of the following:
1) Talk to the person, be supportive.
2) Leave.

If you're not mature enough to figure out how to do either, then... That's just pretty pathetic.

Fine, Rik and Sandy. If you were pissed about her complaining, whatever. It's called the ignore button, smart asses.

How would you know if those were really her cuts? She could've gotten them from some MySpace or VampireFreaks.. or maybe even Xanga. If she really was "cutting" herself because of you guys, why would she take pictures of them and show you? Just for ePity? You can't believe everyone on the internet, take BEEP for example..

I agree with Sandy.

I'm taking all the blame, guys. Honestly, though. I wasn't intentionally trying to bring her down because I initially didn't like her. She was just being overly pessimistic and I was in a horrible mood. Yeah, I know, I should feel bad, but to go as far as cutting yourself? Of course needs attention, but I'm not going to be giving out attention because she went off and hacked at her wrists.

And to have the audacity to do it in some random chatroom.

Yeah. Just a lot like me.
I give myself a lot of criticism for that phase in my life.

I agree with that. When you said that she showed you pictures of what she did after the chat, i was skeptical. And how do you know those pictures were really from right after the chat?

Okay, I was mean to her too. I'm trying to pull up my aimutation logs for that chat but i can't find them, but the point is that she was irritating. Yea, I was nice to her at first, then she really started getting on my nerves. Alot of people's nerves, actually. We didn't say anything really intensely mean, I don't think. More like "Shut the f**k up."

It was all Hez. Hez... all Hez. He made her cut her wrist!! I had nothing to do with it. She was in fact picking on me while I was harmlessly chatting with some CB people :D But it was Hezronical that started it all...

doesn't matter. point is, she cut herself, and if you're cutting yourself, you will need attention, but you can't depend on it.

she still cut herself.
whether now or never, cutting yourself and showing it to people to "relieve" emotional pain is never good.

I've only been in those chats a few times. It's weird cuhz people already know each other, and they are having their own conversations, so I don't wanna intrude, so I jus cut out.

yea i want to know how it was bashing if i only told her to shut up. i didn't like how some of you started to point fingers if vast majority of people "jumped" in to. i wasn't their leader and even if i was, they didn't have to follow. and you think i was just mean to her from the start or something? no i tried to be nice too but she seriously had it coming to her.

haha you're welcome in chat anytime. sorry if we all seem so clique-y?

This is going to be the last thing that I have to say about this.

I, personally, do not blame anyone in particular. I know what it's like to be annoyed to the high heavens by people in chat just begging for attention, or asking for help on Myspace/Xanga stuff, or whatever. I know how it feels to just want to blast them until they cry, but for the sake of the community itself, it's better not to. These people are most likely members of cB, sure, we may not all get along, but it's better to ignore those that we don't like than to act out and put more of a rift between us.

I saw what was going on in there, but who am I to say anything about the mass majority of people that jumped on the bandwagon? All that can be done now is to plead with you. In the future if you see someone like that, can you please make use of that handy "ignore/block" feature? It works wonders, and you can still enjoy your cBchat friends.

I'm in there a fair amount, so I'm always happy to see my friends come in. And it's not too bad to make new friends, either.

So there's my piece. Flame me if you want, but now you know what I think. happy.gif

i dont get why anyone would "flame" you
but whatever just let people think what they want
we think differently
oh and one last thing
isnt respect one of the guidelines?
respect should be practiced here in order to keep it safe to younger bloggers and just to keep it neat and normal

So what if the world isn't nice. Who says we all have to act like little bitches online? Are you saying that it's okay to be rude online because the rest of the world isn't nice? I thought Createblog was supposed to be a place where people could talk about whatever they want without people being assholes to them.

If the girl was annoying you, you could have just x'd out the window. _dry.gif

I knew there was a reason why I've been terrified to join chat. laugh.gif

Seriously though - try to keep things friendly, folks. I know that we're all different and that some of us deal with life differently. I have absolutely no first hand knowledge of this incident becuase, like I mentioned above I've never been in chat here. (Well once, but it wasn't AIM based).

Like Naomi has mentioned on more than one occasion, just use ignore if you must. But really, try to tolerate if you can without resorting to that. Some people just have miserable days and they react accordingly. Perhaps the next time you see them they will have a completely different attitude. How would you ever know if you based everything you know about a person on one chat session? I don't know, it just doesn't seem fair.

But again, I wasn't there so I couldn't say to what degree the annoyance was.

Yep, my 25 cents.

and bashing mods is somewhat different than bashing newbies. mods hav eknowingly put themselves in a position of authority. and with that, accpeted a degree of responsibility for the decisons made on cb. and they take some of the flak for it.

but there is no excuse to personally bash a newbie. ignore them, or leave til they're gone.

It's one thing to criticize one's official actions; it's another to make it a personal attack.
