Not to mention it's cliche. People use that saying as a crutch & an excuse to minimize the damage their drug & alcohol abuse has caused.


& as for me, Nope. I have drug abuse (as well as many other illnesses) running in my family.
Never touched the shtuffs.

I've done plenty in my lifetime.

I don't recommend it though and I've been sober for many years.

The only "drug" I honestly think is ok is marijuana. I could get on my soap box and scream about how marijuana should be legal, but I won't (at least not in this forum).

I don't do drugs. But pretty much all of my friends do. My friend is in like withdrawl cause he's quitting heroin. =/. I've never actually ben offered drugs. So yea. I drink and smoke though. O_o

Yeah, and also, TONS and TONS of studies can be found everywhere, and they're all saying drugs are bad for you. Period. They might not hurt you now, but if you keep at it, they will eventually.

Sorry if that seemed harsh, but yeah. People die from drugs. I'm not saying which way of the other you should go, it's your choice after all, but those are just the facts.

Honestly, I've gone through plenty of full background checks and nothing like that has ever come up. I'm working at a relatively high security work site (and although website visitation is monitored, it is actually quite grey-ishly illegal to do so without one's permission and is usually done with human resources involvement. In fact, the content itself isn't reported, just hits and bandwidth. Certain sites are just blocked entirely like xanga, for example). Dangit, I wrote a ridiculously long parenthetical sentence again with absolutely no regard to proper grammar and syntax.

As far as MySpaces and Facebooks go, I wouldn't be so quick to put too much real life information up (first and last name, for example). That's not only because of potential employer concerns, but because of personal relationships as well - I don't need my mother or other relatives knowing about certain aspects of my past (including drug use). Having said that, as far as I'm concerned... *here* and my blogs are places I do feel free to talk, vent, etc.. about things I wouldn't normally be vocal about. My point? Um... I'm utterly confident I had one... is that I'm not afraid to say "Psssst. I've done drugs," on the internet...

smoking pot occasionally will not make u stupid, its one of the worst myths out there. in fact, marijuana as a whole is not any worse than a substance like caffeine, tobacco, or alcohol, yet our gov't stigmatized marijuana use so severly in the early 20th century that it never found it's way back to acceptance in our society.


cocaine is the f**kin shit... honestly if u are goin to a party and want to have even more fun take a few lines its the shottie sizzle

ecstasy is a fag drug... sorry, but yes i can say i have done it, and it is a fag drug. the feeling is nice but it makes u act too loopy

shrooms are cool but be careful

acid/heroin/meth/crack - never had the desire to try any of these and i suggest u should too. this was always the line i never wanted to cross when it came to drugs

painkillers are sweet too, but be careful w/ these too seeing how if u drink and take this it is potentially fatal... somas, vicodins, codeine, and hyrdochorodones are the best



and for those who bash drug use... its cool if u don't do drugs, thats your opinion. i hate muthafuckas who dont do drugs and use that as an excuse to advance themselves... "i dont do drugs, thats so disgusting" "yuck, drugs are for losers"... f**k u guys!!!! i dont take drugs as an escape to reality, i think thats a bullshit gay reason and if u say u take drugs for that then u need professional help, not drugs.... i take drugs as a way to make me relax (smoking blunts after work/school).. or as a way to enhance my social experiences

It's cool with me too that you do drugs, I won't hold that against you. I'm sorry if I ever bashed you excessively for using drugs, and I'm glad you don't use it for anti-depressants or anything like that, because you're right- then you really would need professional help. I only want to state my opinion, that drugs aren't all that great for your body, and that they'll damage you- after all, it's not me that will make that decision about drugs (or for that matter, anything else) in your life, it's you.
