This is actually a cool story.'

My sister used to live in the Dominican Republic with me and my parents but she moved to Buffalo to attend a University there so shes there by herself.

Well , shes in a model agency and it was pretty cool when she told me shes going to be in Juelz Santanas new video " Clockwork " that they already shot and should be premiering soon.

Any other sad or happy stories?

^Wow, that sounds so awesome!

Mm, a success story about my brother is that he was doing kinda bad in high school--like not doing his work and his GPA was pretty low--but now that he is in college, he made the Dean's List and almost has a 4.0. We're so proud of him, especially me happy.gif

Sweet. Not really too much of a success story, but my friend moved to Japan last year, and his younger sister is now modeling for Sega. That company who did the Sega Dreamcast (I used to have one, but then.. I don't know what happened to it ermm.gif). It's really cool.

My cousin was adopted by my aunt, and because she had none of my family's blood in her, the whole family loathed her =/. I always wondered why she barely came to family gatherings...

my older sister grew up way too fast. she was a junkie by the time she turned 16 and had dropped out of school several times.

she eventually graduated, only a couple months behind her class.

but then she got back into drugs and hooked up with a boy she'd been friends with for years. since half of their "crowd" is dead, they felt some sort of bond (od's, suicides, accidents, etc.)

she now has two beautiful daughters and a good for nothing piece of shit boyfriend who i hate very very much.

it's a sad story. and it is sadder as more detail gets added (i don't have the time nor the patience for details right now)...but it's also happy because she's got her girls. and they love her so much and she would do anything for them and she finally feels as though she has something to live for. so she's no longer trying to kill herself with drugs and risky behaviours.

Well, that just made this topic my favorite of the day.
That's great.

Hmm..
When my mother had my brother, she was seventeen and had to have him in Mexico, but he lived most of his life in the US. When he was older, he started getting into trouble by doing stupid things, and he is now 43 and in prison. All of my life, I've only seen him about 3 times, because he was in prison for most of these seventeen years.
He has no wife, no kids, no career, but he has learned basic graphing in prison..? He draws wonderful things on canvas, though..Everytime he is ..uh, released, he crosses back and gets caught and put in prison for that, and only that. He really can't live there. He's so American. [Hah] It's unfortunate, though, he won't be able to live in the US and do the things he'd like: go to school, get married, have a career..because he's not allowed in the US. He can't survive in another country, and if he's caught, he'll be put in prison again. He can't ask for residency, because of his repeated crossings and past trouble. So he basically has to learn how to live there.
It makes me sad to think about.

I have a bad story. Uh, my cousin, yea she went to Stuyvesant (really good high school in NYC). Graduated, got depressed because her boyfriend dumped her, almost committed suicide but my uncle found the knife before she got to it, now wants to be a nurse.
