yeah, im getting one. are they supposed to hurt or something cuz when i tell people that im getting a root canal they're like "owww..."

I remember I got one root canal when I was little. It's just like a feeling of pressure in/under your tooth. They give you a numbing shot, so it shouldn't hurt much. If you already have a toothache, consider that to be worse.

does it hurt more afterwards, or during? i wont worry too much about it if it hurts more afterwards.

i got one, & it didnt hurt.
maybe when they give u the shot it hurts a little, but it was aiight w/ me. :] |

It's not supposed to hurt until after the numbing wears off, which is when you have issues eating.

after the numbness goes away, it hurts for a while. but it's better than a toothache.

Yeah, once the numbness goes away, it'd hurt. Alot. ><;; I don't like the needles in my mouth either. eating can be a little difficult.
