Okay, well in the Sexuality thread I posted a huge post about my opinion of homosexuality. I left off with: In addition to that, it seems like these days so many people are becoming homosexual, and I think I have already made my point to the fact that I don't mind that. But even with my friends, who I know are straight, still "flirt" with other guys and tell them they love each other and tell each other how hot they are. I know this is probably all just joking, but I think it could have some influence on some becoming gay in the future. I am going to start another topic about this stuff, but I just want other peoples opinions on it.

So now, I just want to know if anyone else can relate to this stuff and their outlook on it.

(Keep in mind i am merely in middle school, so many people still have really developed sexualities. So if you think this is stupid, ignore this)

i really think that more ppl r becoming bi/gay now...b/c..to a certain extent..it wasnt as shunned upon as it was years ago ..and kids in school nowadays..DO joke around and call each other..my gay lover and such..in fact there was recently an article written about the bi/gay ppl at my school which is stirring up quite a controversy w/ conservatives here ..i think that may answer a few questions .. it is prolly joking around..but then ppl start thinking about it.. like for example my friends in the article became bi under the influence of other bi/gay friends ..one would joke around about coming out and such and theyd start hitting on each other..and the next thing u know..my friends like..yeah ive decided im bi

I think people aren't being influenced necessarily, I just think that people can be a little more open about it now, since a lot more people have been accepting of it, and are having open minds. I don't think you can influence someone into being gay, I think they're born with their unique sexuality.

It's not that more and more homosexuals are being born, it's just more of them are coming out (publicly announcing themselves).

i agree. homosexuals and lesbians didn't just appear like a new trend. they have always been around. these once taboo things are being accepted more and more by society now. it's not too big of a deal if someone is attracted to the same sex.

your friends could just be joking around. just because someone jokes about certain things doesn't mean that it truly applies to them. that's what makes it a joke. i always joke with the guy i'm seeing about how much i'll be getting paid for my services but that doesn't mean i'm a whore. i would never accept or even want money for my services.
