I don't live there anymore., but still, the rest of the world sucks canal water for not knowing who Roni Size is....

You speak the truth. laugh.gif

It's probably my fantasy world but I always felt that the older punk generations were now into alot of Drum n' Bass, or at least House, in the UK. Probably not Roni Size or Shy FX fans though. Sads.

Yeah? Well, it probably isn't any worse, might even be better, than the club and "rave" scenes around the US. Yeah, "Racing Green" is amazing, but I'll stick with "Twlight's Last Gleaming," or "Brief Encounter."

Agreed. It's the only place to converse about such diverse & underground bands.

I also like the bands you have listed here.
Lamb Of God owns. I'm a huge fan of them. <3

Ever heard of Collide?
They're also rare to find here.
I'm dying to get more of their Cds. ^^

I've heard people talk about Damien Rice and Deaphne Loves Derby, but I typically try to avoid talking to people at school about music.

That's a bit sad.

I know there are people at my school who listen to a lot of the same stuff as me, I just don't enjoy talking to them. It's not fun talking to people about music when they don't listen to the same stuff, either, so i really have no idea where I'd lose people or not. My one experience with discussing stuff with someone in my language arts class was an amazing failure. She'd only heard Death Cab from the radio and tried to recommend the Click 5 to me. Then again, my whole Spanish class still listens to the Backstreet Boys.

Yeah...Damien Rice has gotten definitel redio play, so I don't relly know how people couldn't have heard, but I always assume I'm out of the normal music loop and just let it go.

I couldn't find that song anywhere, by the way. where did you find them? mass googling brought up little for me

ah. i don't like him much, by the way. but yeah, i think i found the website, it just lacked mp3s. i don't want to pay for things. i consider paying off itunes, but of course they're not on there

so that actually makes a difference? hm. was always curious about that. itneresting.

i really can't type today.

do people in England know of Brendan Benson? ooh, also he has a new band with Jack White called The Raconteurs, who I bet for the sake of this topic most people haven't heard of.

well, i'd heard of him, but saw him as support for keane, which is when he go tpopular, because that was a pretty big tour.

and i KNOW. im pretty excited.

i dont know how many people will have heard of Dirty Pretty Things. Carl Barat's new band.

well actually, they are the Libertines, but minus pete doherty, and with a new guy
