Definition

Some people get confused or don't really know the complete definition for "Anime" or "Otaku" is. So here are the definitions to help you out!

Anime: a style of animation originating in Japan. It is sometimes referred to by the portmanteau Japanimation. Anime is characterized by stark, colorful graphics and stylized, colorful images depicting vibrant characters in a variety of different settings and story-lines, aimed at a wide range of audiences. Anime may be broadcast on television, distributed on media such as DVDs or published as console and computer games. Anime is usually influenced by Japanese comics known as manga.


Otaku: a variety of geek (or an overly obsessed fanboy / fangirl) specializing in anime and manga.

thats a good idea (pin topic) cus in most boards that i used to go to the have groups where theres a intoduction topic, info and questions topic, group pics, and some a spam topic

Yes, AO is still up :) Hopefully it'll stay up, there are still some changes being made, so hopefully they won't move Anime...I don't think they will.
If they do I will be very sad :(

Woah CB3 is actually very catchy to me. Basically CB2 was same skin and such with new forums =P.

I also hope they keep the anime forum going because without it I have no point in coming to createblog anymore. Maybe once in a while to go and read stuff in the reading section.

I don't think they would let the anime forum move into the lounge. >_> Plus...the subforums being moved into the lounge are just temporary (At least I think so.) Don't worry about it guys Katie (and I) wouldn't let the anime forum move just like that. x]

So, I found out that two of my favorite Taiwanese actors are in the Taiwanese soap opera MARS, which is based off of MARS, the manga. WOOOTWOOOT. I bought it online a couple of days ago..it should be coming to my doorstop sooner or later. I'm so excited.

Hehe my friends watched MARS.. They say its good but I never actually went around to watch it. Do you recommend it?

Well, I haven't actually read the manga yet. I don't know what others think about MARS (the tv show), but I think it's pretty good. Buuuut maybe it's just because I'm pretty much a diehard fan of two of the actors playing in it. >_> I would recommend it, though.

Hehe ok just a recommendation is needed. I'mma go in search of it tonight. because I rather read the manga before I watch the anime series.

One anime that I watched and that I enjoyed from a recommendation was:
