The Xanga diaspora saddens me. Independent blog domains aren't so effective for teens.

hmm, what do you mean? do you find that people are moving away from xanga to their individual blogs? thats interesting, since xanga provides such a nice big community...

hmm, and in that case, should we also support mt and wp?

I feel Xanga is starting to die out. For the techno-smarts they will run off to wordpress and such. As with the others they seem to move off to Facebook or MySpace.

I have no idea about Tagworld...what is that? It shows on cB's adsense =P

I'd like to see that, I don't really frequent the xanga scene. And I know a lot of kids who have stopped using it just because they have grown in design ability and have the option to have there own domain or get hosted.

i dont see why people would want to move away from an already established community. doesnt the community draw others to join? whats the use of having a blog when no one really reads it?

I'd like to see mods accept responsibility for their actions. The site is running well, and they all are doing a pretty decent job with catering to the needs of the community, however, the morale of this entire community reminds me of high school. For them to be respected the way moderators should be, and for community to be a place where everyone generally gets along with one another, the personal bullshit needs to come to an end. Be professional.

This site keeps growing and growing and growing. With topics becoming more and more diverse, its understandable that people will feel as though they all need a proper place. That's fine. But I understand that running a forum costs money and using more space costs money. Then again, I like the random, off the wall, conversation topics that used to take up The Lounge.

However, if more subforums are going to be created, then 'Entertainment' needs work. Movies/Music/Books/Misc

I really feel that the newspaper should be given another shot. There are some really outspoken members in this community that can contribute by writing in depth, interesting and thought provoking articles to inform and entertain the entire community. Its great discussing a given event, and its fun talking about last night's sports game, but wouldn't it be better if there was a livlier recap of it all?

"Man, the game last night was ill. Kobe had like, 80 somethin' points."
How about a game summary and analysis?

Skins. The babyblue and white is pretty bland.

All for now.

I remember those days. An oldie like me...wow. Haha.

I'm happy to hear about a cB3, and yet, a bit sad. This place has blown up so much, though. Of course it's going to change again.

Myspace. There's not really any use for a blog there, yet, they have one.

Yeah. It's like Xanga forced everyone to learn web designing skills, since everyone wanted to customized their Xanga page. Once everyone learned the basics, they moved on to bigger and better things.

not my fault...

i think teen blogs are just being abandoned and such. people get bored of reading about what other people's days were like.

me? i'd like to see cB have either a webcomic, or a blog.

you know, something to read when it's getting a bit slow.

I think people find the established communities to be the typical scene while they want to be unique with their own domain and blog. It's how i felt back then.

word.

i really think that the entertainment forum needs to be divided into

- Music
- The Big Screen (TVs and Movies)
- Misc

and all the interest subforums is NOT a good thing. especially "current events".. i see no reason why current events needs to be seperated from lounge... yall complain that the interests forum is dead, yet you add more and more forums to it..

Webcomics would be awesome. Krissexy and the crew should be recruited to work it.

Well, there are rotations and such that get your site seen. Not all of them are blogs. A lot of kids have stopped with xanga.

It's worth a try. I've seen a few people ask for moveabletype and wordpress skins.

I'm against the creation of subforums. They spread the community and forum out too much.

hmm whats so great about myspace? i still dont have one and dont particularly understand whats the big craze about it. same with facebook.

also, why does one need a myspace + facebook? dont they serve the same purpose. perhaps its because they target different people?

i think if myspace was good enough, people wouldnt migrate to facebook once they hit college. the only reason people do today is because myspace.. well, needs a lot of work.

maybe i cant start a social networking site. wooo hooo! haha.
