That's how grades are generally done in college. I don't know what they do about grades from high school.

3.7 and I'm taking advanced classes. Overall this year it's a 3.9 though. The only reason it's low is because of an assignment that I "didn't turn in". (The teacher said I didn't turn in an assignment before and she turned out wrong)
But yeah, 3.7. |

I just got a 4.667 on my first semester this year. I have yet to receive my transcript, but I'm sure my weighted is somewhere along 4.3# something like that... Last year I was at a 4.29--which should've been higher because they forgot to add in one of my class' weighted grade! So I didn't even get AP credit for a class when I should've! ARGH I hate the school system--I hope they got that fixed after I kept telling them to do so. Lazy school...

*sigh* 3.2 I could have gotten higher, but somewhere between 5th grade and the summer before 7th grade, I just wasn't as good as math as I used to be. But, then again, I'm only in 7th grade right now.

Nicki- A lot of colleges look at your transcript and then "redo" them. They will cut out classes like gym or other classes that aren't core classes and recalculate your GPA. That way they can see what your GPA is with classes that actually matter, like english and math.
