yeah... because by the time they get 50 posts they've either 1. already learned to make their own or 2. forgot about it.

I wouldn't request here. Normally I would've made the image, and make my friend do the image mapping. Now I actually know how to imagemap, and learning more html...

that's because a lot of people just join to get layouts/request them and are too lazy to post because that's not what they're here for. the people that have a lot of posts are the ones that know how to make layouts or don't need to request.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

The Xanga Request forum hasn't been active since the moment it was there... except there was a time when there were many requests from members who didn't meet the requirements at all...

Stupid n00bs. But I don't think there is anyway to stop it. A lot are probably new to xanga and myspace as it is.

I've used layouts, but haven't requested one. I think I would be too embarrassed to for some reason. Besides, I'm learning to do them myself and I'd hate to think that someone might spend time fulfilling a request and by the time they're done, I've got my own.

Yeah. Personally, I don't really think that createblog should even HAVE a xanga request section. If people feel like doing requests, I think they should put in in their sig or profile, and all most people come here for is xanga skins, and when they see that you need to have a ton of posts to get one, they decide to spam the forums, which is NOT good. And adding to what Zatanna said up there, I think it gives you a lot more satisfaction to make one, and it's really not that hard. Anyways, there's always all those tutorials around, and you can post in xanga help.

Hm. I took a request recently and I didn't think the person would actually ever make it to 50. So when he did make it to 50 posts, I felt obligated to do the layout and I am willing to bet that he will never, ever, reach 51 posts. Last post was on Dec 30. Figures. _dry.gif
