Definition

Some people get confused or don't really know the complete definition for "Anime" or "Otaku" is. So here are the definitions to help you out!

Anime: a style of animation originating in Japan. It is sometimes referred to by the portmanteau Japanimation. Anime is characterized by stark, colorful graphics and stylized, colorful images depicting vibrant characters in a variety of different settings and story-lines, aimed at a wide range of audiences. Anime may be broadcast on television, distributed on media such as DVDs or published as console and computer games. Anime is usually influenced by Japanese comics known as manga.


Otaku: a variety of geek (or an overly obsessed fanboy / fangirl) specializing in anime and manga.

This was one of my first animes. It was pretty cute.

geez I haven't been here in an awfully long time. I have no idea what is going on. I finished reading Paradise Kiss. Um I'm fully updated on Bleach. Still waiting for Princess Ai 3. I'm pushing anime onto my friends...mostly Onegai Teacher and Midori no Hibi (Midori Days). I got pocky for xmas. Um...oh and I saw this really adorable reversible Hatsuharu (Fruits Basket) hat at the store.

^ Because of Onegai Teacher I got addicted to Pockey and I still am addicted to them... -___-;; I also like the salad one that the cute little yellow thing likes =P

I read fruits basket manga up until volume 19, chapter 102 =X or was it volume 18? I don't know, the manga scans that i read are a bit confusing. but anyway, volume 16 was REALLY good. it made me cry. T_T i want the anime, but i can't download anyyy....

That sucks. I've found a couple of sites to download episodes but some of them are forums and you have to join and participate in the forums to download.

i don't like the anime... the voices are bad, and it's really slow and bad art too -.-
i haven't read up to 19 yet but i have it on my computer, guess i'll go read it to kill time << i'm still waiting for detective conan and one piece to finish downloading

people hav always been talking bout getting anime through file transfer but i really havent heard anything bout off of sites though...can someone give me a link then plz?

Yeah i finnaly got volume 12! HOLY poops up to volume 19! how many volumes are their!!!? on tokyo pop it has 17 so far...well last tim ei checked which was like 3 months ago but besides that >.> YEAH 12 FINNALY OMG I CRIED at this one part with Kagura x[ so adorable x_x

ooh. i meant the japanese version...i saw a bit of the english version and i didn't like it too much ;x DUDEEEE i used to watch detective conan in taiwan. that's OLDDD >_>

I'm only back from my Anime Otakus. Seriously. This is the reason why I came back. So, let's keep it hush-hush, lol.

And as far as fanfiction, Cassie, I've been reading it since sixth grade. I'm telling you, it's a lifelong addiction.

I read summaries from chapter 103-121. Couldn't find the scans...

BUT OMG SO GOOD. SOSOSOSOSOSOSO GOOD. SO many things have happened and I wish I could all just tell you...but I don't want to spoil it. Fruits Basket is frickin amazing. SOOOOOOOO GOOD
