HAHAHA +pokes Nicki+ Okay, you do have a point. But I still think you guys are on a weird superiority complex. Yes, I feel sorry for those poor children of CB who have not yet mastered the art of grammar. Sue me. |

For those of you who apparently don't know -
A while ago, before a lot of your CB time, Kim (Days Nearly Over) and I had started an English class. We had weekly lessons and tests and they were pinned because it was a part of CB. That's why this is labelled "lesson 3"; there were 2 beforehand. So, if you have a problem with it, that's pretty much too bad. I'm sorry you missed out on the complaining time back then. |

How could it not make sense? A lot of the people posting in here weren't around when the other two were posted, and for those two, it was weekly. What doesn't make sense? |

QUOTE(xscore @ Dec 21 2005, 11:50 PM) Money does have a plural form, although it is spelled "moneys", not "monies" (God bless those inconsistent English spelling rules). It is akin to "peoples" in that it refers to several groups of types of money (such as "The moneys of North American include the American dollar, the Canadian dollar, and the Mexican peso"). |

Monies is correct I recently had a week long debate with my english professor about it. She got out every ancient English book I think there is known to man. All of which said that monies is correct. No one uses it because it sounds weird. Fishies is also correct.

Yes they are supposed to have a period after every letter. I'm not really understanding the loathing of the "LOL" though. This is the internet. The birth of the conversational acronym. Who cares if someone says LOL? or ROTFL? No one wants to type out that they are laughing out loud. The moment would be over by then.

But if there weren't LOL as an acronym, no one would say "laugh out loud" to begin with because it's stupid. How hard is it to type "haha"? Yeah, not very. It does in fact take a lot less time than typing "ROFLMAO" |

It does in fact take a lot less time than typing "ROFLMAO" THANK YOU. You guys, "lol" may be okay in SOME occasions. But there is not an honest reason to type it constantly. "hahaha" makes you sound more genuine, less-annoying, and takes less time to type. And "muahahha" sounds better all around and evil. Now who doesn't want to be evil? |

^ When I talk to my friends, I always get a feeling that "Haha." is sarcastic and ungenuine.
When I'm IM-ing, there are different levels of amusement. 1) Not amused. okay. 2) Not amused but pretending to be. hah. 3) Slightly amused but you don't really care. lol. 4) Kind of amused. hahahahaha. 5) Amused. LOL/HAHA 6) More than amused. LOOL/HAHAAAA 7) Very amused. LOOOLOLOLOOLLLLLLL/HAHAHAHSHFHAHAHAH 8) Extremely amused. SDFOIY@()*LDHFOY*)(PIDFKHAHAHFADOHFOIASH That is all. =) |
