Most of white America has come to terms with Diddy being this likeable music mogul. And though his rap career was a joke, especially without BIG writing his rhymes, he soon gave up his faux-gangster image, dropped his smoking alias PUFF DADDY, and ventured off into the corporate business world.

Lets fast forward.

Did you see VH1's hiphop honors this year? Ms. Wallace (Biggie's mother) was less than pleased with seeing both Lil Kim and Diddy. If you're a fan of hiphop and actually have been paying attention, she did release a public statement that basically said that Diddy and Kim are using her son's name for their own financial gain. She went onto say something that has also been noted by the late great 2pac and Lil' Cease; that her son never even liked Diddy to begin with and never trusted him.

For good reason, too...

Diddy owns the publishing to the Notorious BIG. Anything that is purchased with BIG's name on it automatically puts cash in Diddy's pocket. This is similar to the Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson beef (Jacko owns the Beatles' publishing). But where it gets twisted is that www.hiphopgame.com has even done articles on this issue and there have been stories of BIG's kids and his mother struggling to keep the lights on until Faith, and whats left of Junior Mafia stepped in.

As far as the music industry is concerned, Diddy can't make any money off of his own talent. So he's been using everyone else for years. He steps in a club with his gateway to street cred (Shyne), and even though it was Diddy's gun, Shyne ends up doing a 10 year bid. Diddy started jerkin The Lox, and as a result; Jada and Styles are retiring? G-Dep's album flopped. Black Rob is a joke. BIG's dead. Kim is in jail because that dumbass lied on the stand. Da Band was never taken seriously to begin with. And to top it all off, aside from Aundrea and Aubrey, the girls from MTB3 aren't gong to do shit.

Wouldn't it make sense to give the publishing rights to Voletta Wallace? Or at least give the publishing to BIG's baby's mother.

Maybe this is just my own personal rant here (KC, Steven, Roxy, holla if you hear me), but making all these new BIG tracks with undeserving artists is a huge disrespect. Whatever the case is, I got a little bored and felt the need to bring some hiphop to the table.

Yeah this something I've telling people all along about Diddy. But why would he give up the rights? We all know Diddy is about that paper.

As for MTB3 I agree that Aundrea & Aubrey will go places. Especially that Aubrey chick, that girls got talent. Great dancer, though Aundrea has the better voice.

unless there was a binded contract within the record company voletta can`t do crap . most deceased artists pusblished music or samples are still owned by there company for at that time was being made with the record company . what im saying if some of those songs BIG made werent shared and affliated with Bad Boy before his absence ...yes voletta might have control over them . it depends on the contract yet otherwise , if he gave all the rights of legal sharing to badboy/laface/arista records . and if BIGGie had signed of a legal sharing to his parents that wouldve been better .

Yung, did you hear Hot 97 when Diddy called and interrupted Styles and Jada's interview with some chick (it was either MissJones or Angie Martinez)? I heard it the day after and it was right then and there that my dwindling respect for Diddy finally disappeared. What it all comes down to is Diddy being a greedy attention whore.

Rarely do I complain about artist trying to express themselves freely even if they portray a negative image not acceptle to society. Let me just say first off, I can't knock a man's hustle. Me personally I always told my friends whenever we would have a Diddy discussion that the only reason he was famous was only because of BIG. In every video before he started releasing tracks where was he at? In the background of every BIG video. Another thing I happened to notice about Diddy is he promotes himself through his artist. I find nothing wrong with a cameo appearence but if you look at his artist's videos, you can find him in there a whole lot more than is needed of him. I also can relate to how you feel about the new BIG album and some of the artist listed to appear on there. I heard the Bob Marley Joint earlier today, it wasn't to bad but some of the other artist they listed aren't even noteworthy to be on a BIG song IMO. Not that I'm saying these artist are horrible but just like you, I find it disrespectable, that and what you mentioned about him gaining profits off of all of BIG's songs. This reminds me of a similar situation with 2pac's mom suing suing Suge Knight for partial ownership of Pac's song. I agree with pretty much everything you're saying. Diddy has absolutely no talent as far as rhythm and lyrical skill.. Even on B2k's bump bump bump song, he didn't even write that verse. BIG, Shyne, and the Lox are the only formidable artist he had on his roster that I can think of off the top. Mase was okay with me before he went off into ministry and came back( I don't know where this man is going with the whole Gunit thing. Is he still a preacher?.) . I admit that watching the him make that band the first season was pretty damn funny. Dylan was the only artist out of that group that spit that hot fire , as Dave Chapelle Said. This season however, im just confused at the direction he is taking towards making a group. He is more concerned with dancing over singing seemingly. I think he made the mistake of eliminating his stronger vocalist early on. I could look past the dance steps because to me, I feel that when people listen to a good song they could care less about how good someone dances. The incident with in the club should have landed him behind bars, but Shyne is serving his sentence right now. He almost got what was coming to him when JLO used him to get to the top but thats not a 100% justice for what he deserves. LOL I sound cruel. I should take that one back. Anyway, I just don't see him going bankrupt anytime soon. He does afterall have a clothing line, but lately I haven't seen anyone wearing that down here.
