I hate when white people tell me that I 'speak so well,' or that I'm so, 'articulate.' Reading into it, there's an implication that I'm so different because they somehow have this notion of black people being unintelligent.
While on the issue of race, I really resent the idea of 'dressing black/white' or 'acting black/white.' Its a new day, get out of the past. I absolutely love when a woman embraces her own liberation, but there is a line of respect that women shouldn't cross. Whenever it turns into an argument as to who is the dominant gender, thats when shit has gone too far. Same thing with guys, chauvinism irks the hell out of me. Blatant ignorance. |

Everyone pretty much said it... racism, sexism, homophobia.
Stereotypes bug the hell out of me. Just because I'm Asian, people who aren't assume a lot of things about me. And, because I don't fit the stereotype of a normal Asian sometimes, other Asians tell me I'm whitewashed. Everyone is different. Using "gay" and "retarded" in the wrong context also makes me pretty mad. |
