Okay. I don't know if this should be in fashion so mods feel free to maove it. Well any way today on the announcments they announced to us that snowman shirts are banned. I was like"What's so bad about a snowman shirt?" And everyone else wondered that too. Then this rumor started going around that the snowman was smoking pot. Do you know what these shirts look like? And do you think that the snowman is smoking pot?

he doesn't have to be smoking pot. the school did it because that's like glorifying drug dealers. i personally am glad because those shirts are so annoying. i hate it when everyone is wearing the same damn thing.

As in like Young Jeezy?

Edit.

I didn't see Steven's post. But yeah, Young Jeezy made it popular and I can see why it's banned.

Allow me to further elaborate. It all started with the song Gucci Mane ft. Young Jeezy - So icy. Although the song was hot fire, the verse that really set it off was that of Young Jeezy which helped popularized the song. In the verse Young Jeezy is quoted as saying ,

“U betta act like ya know man, in my hood they call me Jeezy da Snowman
Ya get it? Get it? Jeezy da Snowman
I'm iced out, plus I got snow, man
Let it marinate, y'all niggaz slow man (slow man)
(Man what the f**k y'all...yo dumb ass)”.

Apparently nobody but myself, Steven, and a few other people in this world caught on, hence the saying “ya’ll niggaz slow man.” What was so funny is even BET blocked it out when he would say Snowman. Now that everyone finally knows what it means it just takes the fun out of it. But without the help of the news no one would have ever got it. The news is also Slowman laugh.gif

I also was going to get one of those shirts until my mother found out what it meant. That shirt is very popular around here.

Toward the end of my senior year of high school, the t-shirts that said "I Got it 4 Cheap," got banned for the same reasons.

If you kids lacked a conscience and used your resources, all you have to do is listen to Jeezy's album and you'll get a step by step on how to hold weight.

Water+Cocaine+Baking Soda --> Heat --> Stir and add ice--> Remove Rocks --> Distribute Accordingly. And vuola, you have crack. THANKS RONALD REAGAN!

Young Jeezy's Snowman T-Shirt Being Banned?
Monday - November 7, 2005

Young Jeezy is getting the wrong kind of attention for his trademark Snowman T-shirt. Although the shirt is selling like hotcakes, anti-drug campaigners and educational officials have expressed their concern of the shirt's image.

It may just look like a cartoon image of a snowman with an evil expression, but the image made popular by Jeezy symbolizes someone who sells cocaine, better known in the street as snow.

The T-Shirt has gotten the attention of many major media outlets including the Washington Post, ABC News, MTV News and the Associated Press to name a few. And with that attention, those against the message being sent, say the tees are part of a disguished marketing campaign that uses coded symbols parents and teachers are not likely to understand.

According to the report, some schools have already ban the snowman shirt from being worn.

"The snowman is made of white, grainy stuff like sugar," said Mailik Mason, a 12-year-old seventh-grader, standing next to his mother in a Manhattan store selling the snowman shirts. "It has to do with a certain drug, crack or coke."

The shirt was first produced by Miskeen Originals, a New Jersey fashion firm, who made a batch directly for Jeezy, who according to the company's owner holds the rights to the snowman image.

"I wasn't sure what the snowman meant until the artist explained to me that it was a drug dealer, the man delivering snow," Yaniv Zaken, owner of Misken Originals, said. "Now everyone is selling the snowman -- all unlicensed. It's become a street-hood hit worldwide."

Def Jam have confirmed that Jeezy holds the rights to the t-shirt image, but declined to comment on complaints that it was sending children the wrong message.

Mason, the 12-year-old who commented on the shirt's meaning says he's like a snowman shirt, but that his school in Brooklyn has banned it. His mother, Autherine Mason, 34, added that she was unaware of the snowman's meaning and wouldn't buy it for her son now that she knows.

Sometimes the buzz in the streets can overcome everything. Bootleggers around the country have profits on the sale of the snowman Tee. Ali Kourani, a Manhattan wholesale salesman, says the T-shirt is their top seller across the country, according to the AP.

"It's big money," Kourani said.

Yeah, its this thing going around about young jeezy and snowmans smbolizes smoking either crack or pot. This is ridiculous, there's nothing bad about wearing a snowman shirt.
