What would you guys think about a website scripts section, similar to those of Myspace/Xanga/etc.? For those scripts that can only be used on domains/subdomains and stuff?

that would be cool. i always looked for scripts and just had to take them out of layout codes because i couldnt find any that worked.

I like the idea. It could really help people with their own webpages. And hey, I love scripting/coding (love it like it's my job, in fact wink.gif ) more than graphical web design, so I'd hang out there a lot.

I really like the idea of that. All this while, people have been asking questions about sub/domains in the programming sub-forum.
A website scripts section will make it more organized.

I think its a great idea as well , since script questions and domain and subdomain questions have been asked alot lately. Plus it would help alot of people out so this idea is awesome.

I think that would be excellent. Alot of kids know what to do on xanga, myspace, etc.. but webdesign is a whole other world. Since you can't steal source codes like you can on xanga it's alot harder too rolleyes.gif and tutorials would be nice. We want to be the best forum, right? Well, with a scripts section we can =D

Don't forget JavaScript.

Although, I wonder if it would really get enough traffic to warrant splitting it into subforums?

JavaScript and Java aren't the same thing. The only similarity they share is a C-style syntax, which is why I thought it would be important to note JavaScript.

YES YES YES YES AND YES. I am all for it.

And maybe not subforum it (that would be obscene), but set it up like the tutorials section:

QUOTE
php: blah blah
html: more blah
java script: etc and so forth

That way it would be organized. I am so for it. Yes yes and MORE yes.

yeah, so by me saying java, i was referring to javascript, as I've seen god knows how many people refer to it as simply "java."
either way, the etc was there.

I didn't mean to offend. I work extensively with both technologies, and understand the differences between them, so the omission immediately leapt out at me. I realize you put "etc," but since a lot of people ask questions regarding JavaScript on here, I thought, for the sake of improving the forum (if it gets created), that it would be a good idea to make sure JavaScript was included.

No, it's okay. I just never really knew there was java, and javascript.
But now that I think of it, I just never paid attention, and I have seen both before.

Just figured it was an abbreviation.

And I just saw this idea, and I'm all for it. I keep havng to get the codes from other layouts, this would be much easier.
