So.. I'm a club officer on my school's robotics team, and the thing is.. we need funds for building the robot as well as travel to/from and lodging at regionals (robotics competitions).

We came up with a few ideas while brainstorming today at a meeting:
- Food (Candy/drinks/etc.)
- Valentine's day flowers
- Corsages
- Livestrong-styled wristbands
- Scratch&pay sheets (kind of like the lottery, but it's.. the more you scratch off, the more you pay..)

Do any of you have suggestions on how to fundraise? _smile.gif Thanks!

GIFT WRAPPING!

My school newspaper is doing that, and since i"m in it, we're going to do that for the week before Christmas. ut it really depends though. Last year, they only made I think.. 400 dollars? It just really depends though. Girl Scout cookies are good though wink.gif But you can't do them unless you're in girl scouts O_o

cookies, hotdogs, food etc. maybe even a "silent auction" as my old school called it, where u make a bunch of creative stuffs or (buy em urself, ionno) and have like an auction out of it.....u could also try like a themed store, like ppl at school would make "valentine stores" and stuff like that 2 raise money happy.gif pinch.gif

I, on the other hand, am just interested in seeing if Azarel's robot was ever modified into a robot of the evil variety.

I'm not really big fan of the livestrong-styled bracelets. Food and candy is always good though, and hold out of school functions. eg. fundraising kegger or bubble tea night.

Ok, this always seems to work well at my school.. but here's what we do. We pick a restaurant like Panera Bread, and the members of the club will volunteer to work there for about an hour doing things like cleaning up tables, passing out food, etc., and 10% of the proceeds earned that night will go towards the club/organization. The band usually does this at my school and we raise a pretty good amount of money.

Sorry to say - no. I've since quit the team, also, since I did not get along with a majority of the newer members.
