ok i just wanna know why "ghetto" guys can wear womens things like thick white sunglasses & hot pink shirts and they're all like "this is so pimpin". but then when a white person wears like a pink polo there like "dog thats gay". And also alot of "ghetto" guys say i cant have my colar up cause im white, but white ppl at a&f and ae were having colors up way b4.

BY THE WAY IM NOT BEING RACIST, AND NO IM NOT RACIST.

I wouldn't exactly call that "ghetto". I think most people refer "ghetto" as lots of bling, oversized baggy jeans, baggy track suits, etc. The whole thick white sunglasses and popped polo collars is what you'd call "preppy". And I don't know what the black guys at your school are saying, but I'd say that the preppy look has been more associated with white people.

Personally, I think anyone can wear anything that they want and they shouldn't be intimidated by whatever other people say. Anyone can pull off pink polos or shirts, it just all depends on what your style is, and if you can wear it with confidence. If a white person gets made fun for wearing that and it actually gets to them, well, maybe they need to get some self-esteem.

They probably mean that you can't have your collar popped because it's stupid, not because you are white.

The people you probably live with are prejudiced and racist. I was kinda in the same situation once, when a white sk8er girl wore leg stockings on her arms they thought it was cool but when I wore one they called me a geek. I'm asian btw.

Their opinions shouldn't determine what you wear. If you like popping your collar, wearing pink polos, etc., than DO IT. It's your style, not theirs.

No, I think they mean that YOU look stupid in it.

Not that I think that at all, it's not like I've seen you with it.

I live in Los Angeles. Racial barriers are around, but there is that mutual respect. We don't clown on others because of their race. We only gang up and bang on them if they decide to start something. We have come across many white people and shit that say "gangsters have no life." Then there are those that dress like a gangster as a joke and only make it so obvious, trying to piss us off. Yo we don't give a f**k, say what you want, do whatever... if you decide to mess with us straight up in front thats when people here start to pop-pop and be like altos and wats.

We let people dress and act how they want, mess... and thats it.

you said you live in houston,
well i just moved to dallas, and my school is not like yours. so your schol must be fashionably screwed up. well if your school is primarily black, some ignorant people are gonna clown on you no matter what you do. so dont worry about it.

Um .. who cares? Don't let it bother you and/or don't dress that way. It's not like absolutely crucial that you go around wearing an oversized pink shirt or have your collar up. Yeah, that's discrimination and racism to some extent, but you can't change it. But if you stand your ground, most likely they'll learn to leave you alone.

i see that a lot where i live; mostly i think [not racist nor am i; or intentially meaning it but a thought] its because those 'ghetto' people as you say dont want others taking their style you know the colors or what not; thats just what happens where i live! anyways the collar thing? thats messed up because yes everyone pretty much had the collar thing going; not just one 'type' of fad. JUST A THOUGHT...
