I don't beleive it's bad for you. I've read alot of studies and all show that it has no effect on the average diet pop drinker. I'd much rather drink a bit of aspartame than consume alot of calaries which has been proven since hundreds of years ago is bad for you.
Time could prove me wrong. What's your veiw? |

I've had good luck with things so far. I'm guessing there are plenty of other more likely ways that would cause my death first.

in moderation, no.
but some people can get...well... a bit heavy on diet drinks. i know people [and myself], who drink these things to suppress hunger, and could be damaging ourselves by doing so also, don't think just because it says 'diet' on it, that it's actually cal-free. only thing free of calories is water. and uhm, calories aren't bad for you, they are nutrients. it just depends where you get them from, and how it'll affect your health--just thought i should mention that. |

Calories aren't really nutrients--they're just a measure of energy. Nutrients have calories, but calories themselves aren't really nutrients. |

QUOTE YES! It's a new, unknown chemical, and I don't like it! It hasn't been around long enough for anyone to really know the effects it might have on you. Sure calories aren’t great for you, but aspartame could be much, much worse! We just don't know, and I'd rather not take the chance. For sure. |

Didn't aspartame cause cancer in rats in tests? I think thats what my heath teacher in like 7th grade told me.
no idea. There are worse things out there. But I dislike the taste of diet drinks anyway. After taste. ACK! |

My mom did a study on it and found it to be bad if you have too much.
I think a little bit is okay, just not a lot in one day. |

Ahh I dont know. I think its fine as long as you dont drink too much diet soda.
But did anyone know that they have Diet Coke with Splenda now? It tastes much more like Normal Coke too. And, No aspartame. Same with other Splenda sodas. Basically, they replace the sugar with Splenda. ![]() |
