My school blocked xanga, is there any way to get on it? |

Well..its pretty clear my school blocked xanga its just really gay :( do you guys have any other links that can get on it or something?

my school has also blocked it im pretty sure that there isnt a way of getting around it if its like ours its blocked by a subject like email/livechat/webhosting.
So theres very little chanse of getting around it. at least i havent found one yet. |

I even try to get onto my xanga on yahoo search engine. It works but not all the time.
It's wierd though .. |

I've heard that if you type in beta.xanga.com, you'll be able to get around it.

proxify.com works...
and i forgot the other one but it starts with beijing999 or something... just google up proxy servers and u'll find a way.. at my school, u get DMC (in-school suspension) and internet taking away if caught... we have filthers everywhere.. miraculously.. cb is not blocked. |

I've heard that the ___.xanga.com doesn't work (beta and something else) on some because they filter out any and all blogging type sites. I'm not sure how it works, but I guess it changes from school to school. There was another topic on this at one point.
What is so wrong about xanga that you can't use it at school? Like, during free times and all? Ha, I got my first xanga at school, but that was a year and a half ago and I guess it wasn't quite as big yet. |

www.worldlingo.com works to translate the page - - but all you have to do is translate the page from another language to english, even though it's not originally in another language.

I'm surprised there are so little replies concerning proxies in this thread. Yeah. You can either use someone else's or set up your own. It's wicked simple to use and stuff. My school blocks anything related to 'fun' :P, so I use a proxy to get to blocked websites when I'm chillin' in the library. Never tried Proxify before but it looks promising. |

my school blocked xanga...and then we moved to the using beta.xanga.com and then they blocked that. ive even gone so far as to try to unblock it, but they made it so that you cant change the internet options. nobody really finds out if we do anything, but cB isnt blocked and im not as big on xanga anymore. (i tried this freshman year). the whole beta.blockedsite.com used to work recently, but today it wouldnt.

right, I used to be able to get around blocked xanga a number of ways (usually premium.xanga.com or going through emails from xanga) and then it became increasinly more difficult to use certain features (near the end it wouldn't let me post or view subscriptions) but now they've blocked it altogether because of an incident with someone making a xanga imitating a teacher. It's so aggrivating. I'm in desperate need of a new way to overcome it
