this is a boy's locker room and i know im a girl but seriously i wanna know why it happens. it may seem stupid to ask but hey, i've been wondering for a while. someone needs to explain.

It's quicker to slap the ass rather then giving a sign to be ready to give hand five.
butt slap 1. pass by the person --> 0 sec 2. slap it --> 1 sec hand five 1. give a sign - 3 sec 2. communicate - 3 sec 3. hand five - 1 sec I know, it's one step than the butt slap but handfive's method is longer. |

Well, I must say. I have never really noticed it. Its not really just football. They do it at baseball and basketball and well I have found myself doing it at baseball games and junk. I don't know why we do it, it was odd at first, but now its like a habit or something. And thats kind of in the eye of the public, you don't want to know what happends in the locker rooms.
