Help Victims of Hurricane Katrina
Hurricane Katrina has blazed a trail of devastation throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Across the Gulf Coast, Katrina engulfed thousands of homes and decimated the landscape in what could become the most destructive storm in U.S. history. Victims are stranded and in need of immediate medical care, food and water, and tens of thousands of people will need temporary housing for months. Help people affected by this storm by making a donation today. God Bless America! Best wishes to those who got affected by the Hurricane Katrina, and R.I.P. for the others who died, because of this Hurricane. Donations |

I have no money to donate.
I'm pretty sure Cosco would provide a huge glass box where everyone slide their money inside the slot. |

1. those e-mail/post/collect signatures via internet are usually useless.
2., not a storm, but a category [5] HURRICANE. worst natural disaster in american history. [supposedly, it's too early to tell yet]. 3., you can actually do something by donating your time, money, by going here. [edit..woops, forgot the number, i'm slow today. meh] |

Once again I have to remind cB members to be extra wary in times like these:
"Just to be cautious, everyone should really notice who they're donating to, especially on the internet. Providing your CC number and address/phone on WWW to nameless sites can be devastating to your accounts. Fraud isn't news these days and people will stoop low enough to steal your good-hearted intent even with so many suffering. Please, please know, and better yet, trust who you are giving such sensitive information to." I am NOT saying that you should not donate over the internet, I am saying DO NOT donate if you're unsure of the organization you're giving your information to. It's a shame, but there are people would tries to take money away from those who desperately need it. AND A NOTICE: If anyone knows someone from Louisiana or from the states that were affected by Katrina who's in Houston, let them know that they can come to ANY Houston area YMCA to use the facilities freely during business hours. |

The wind was crazy tooo.. ![]() i wouldn't worry about that; atlanta got it 2 days ago and while it rained for couple of days, it was really pretty much nothing my friend moved to gulfport mississppi this july, one of the places that got hit the worst, and fortunately they eveacuated and came safely back here, but their house is assuredly going to be destoryed, and her father may not have a job anymore, and they have 8 kids. topics merged since they're both essentially going towards the same thing, and this way Katrina isn't referred to as a storm, which is one of the most severe understatements i've heard in a long time QUOTE(Cwlplover @ Aug 31 2005, 11:45 AM) The only thing we got here in Georgia was our power going out for like, 14 hours and a lot of rain/wind dude, you live in georgia and are in marching band??! (sorry, i looked at your xanga) do you actually go to carrollton? i think i've seen your band before!!! [/off topic] |

VERY!VERY! SAD BUT TRUE! IM SORRY I FORGOT TO MENTION THIS! Thank You uninspiredfae very much. The point is,you can go on that website, and click on the organization, you are willing to donate something like money/whateva',and all you have to look IMO,at contact addresses(if there are any),more closer to your area, and i guess if its not too much for you just to jump in a Bus and just go there to be sure, you land the money/stuffs in the right hands, because like uninspiredfae mentioned ^upper, there are lots of insane ppl who wants to get rich using this "HORRIBLE" things that happen all over the globe.BE VERY CAREFUL,where and who you give those's stuffs, better to donate IRL then over the NET in my opinion, because of the large number of "Identity Thiefs",just when you think you were doing a good thing helping others, you'll be shot in your back.(by those MONSTERS cause i cant seem to find any other name, because they are not Human's for sure, heartless ppl!>.<) Sorry again if this thread/topic counts as SPAM! GOD BLESS AMERICA & ALL WHO GOT AFFECT BECAUSE OF THIS HURRICANE! |

uh, frankie, you could do it yourself. but i would recommend you not, because it's not so much advertisement as it is support of hurricane victims, and i don't think that can do any harm, seeing how devastatng it has been in louisiana and mississippi.
