Please don't anyone kill me for asking.
There's a thread for submitting banners that can be displayed on the home page of createblog... there are a lot of really really nice submissions, yet I've only seen two different banners since version two of createblog was released? Who is actually in charge of switching them? Is this person / these people just too busy? If so, I understand... but it would be nice to see something fresh on the home page every once in a while. Yes? No? |

Maybe the head staff should be given the power too. |

hi guys,
sorry, i went on vacation while working on a new web project. i updated the banner earlier today, and i'll look into spreading out more of the work to the current admins/head staffs in the future. and thanks for understanding. |

i have a wild idea, what about using a "image rotate on reload script", this will make it so that a random createblog banner will load on the main page everytime you come to createblog.com. this requires no maintance beside a simple install and it can rotate as many banners as are available.

if the banner didnt change, try refreshing the page. createblog v1 used a banner rotator, but i still need to approve them before hand before they can be shown. im looking into giving staff members access (perhaps ftp) so that they can manually switch the banners instead.

UHm,i guess a banner rotator php script,should work good enuff evan if you have 200-300 banners, lol, but it needs to be made,so it will show all the banners,not 2x 1st banner,5x 2nd banner or so,so those who will look wont get bored seein the same banner 2-3 or more times,and the others to wait days untill they're banner will be shown,
"giving staff members access (perhaps ftp)" , not a good idea IMO,thinking about how many ftp xploits there are on this NET,it can cause big problems,if you pissoff one of the "users/admins" who has access to the ftp,so limited access to only 1-2 admins will be a great ideea,in case of anykind of errors or so.
