How do people do this kind of thing with Photoshop:

http://www.photocamel.com/index.php/topic,1061.0.html

I've seen cutouts posted into pictures like this, but I can never get a clean cutout. Any tips? I'd love to post some creations in my blog.

WOW! That is very nice... though I'm really not sure how they did it so well. I know you can use mask and do it pixel by pixel... ^^" But that would take years... o_0

They're professional photographers, i guess, so they probably know the tricks. Guess I'll have to join and ask them. I always mess up those kinds of cutout attempts.

If you mess around with photoshop long enough, this stuff becomes second nature.

like check this simple trick out.

Umm...for cut outs I use the magnetic lasso tool. You just have to have a steady hand and a lot of experience. =).

I'm a photoshop newbie and have seen digital manipulations in the past that allow you to create all kinds of fanciful scenes. I'd like to do this with my blog. How do people do things like this:

http://www.photocamel.com/index.php/topic,1094.0.html

http://www.photocamel.com/index.php/topic,1061.0.html

Anyone?

Those are all great tutorials ^^
Start with those and learn the basics, and learn how to incorporate them into different projects. There's no real tutorial on photo manip. it takes experience, and you learn to play around with different things to come up with a result that you like.

Oh yea, and frankly, those are pretty horrible manip's ..... they're more just like cut and paste...so if that's what you want, this mite help:

I've never been good with that tool. Should I be using something other than a computer mouse?
