uhm, chill first of all. why yell at the mod for? not going to do anything.
![]() I say it can be a good idea. but for big things and for serious situations. I just think only if you are getting harassed, or what-so-ever like that is a good time for a cb councelor. Or if you just cannot stand this one person, and he/she is not leaving you alone. that is the real time to take action. I have to agree, some mods are rude. yes. |

QUOTE(BrokenDream @ Aug 11 2005, 3:30 AM) I say it can be a good idea. but for big things and for serious situations. I just think only if you are getting harassed, or what-so-ever like that is a good time for a cb councelor. Or if you just cannot stand this one person, and he/she is not leaving you alone. that is the real time to take action. I have to agree, some mods are rude. yes. First, if the situation is 'serious' what do you expect a cB counselor to do for you? If there is a serious situation, the best someone over the internet can help, aside from advising you, is throw you a number for a hotline. Second, it is DANGEROUS (no, i'm not paranoid, i'm worried for you all) to trust someone over the internet with your private information, which is something you need to do to be able to get the best help. Not only is it dangerous, it is a stupid, irresponsible thing to do. Third, though I know there are a few mature and intelligent kids on cB, they are no more than KIDS. It's true that some things are better when you talk over your problem with your peers, but no matter how mature, kind, or smart your cB counselor may be, he/she DOES NOT HAVE THE MEANS to help you like a real professional can. Believe me when I say, if one step goes wrong in a 'serious situation', not only does the person who seeks counsel gets hurt, the counselor will feel responsible for the hurt. It's a psychological effect that not everyone, adults even, can deal with let alone an untrained, inexperienced kid from cB. In serious situations, kids go to adult for help. For things like how-do-I-get-my-crush-to-like-me, there's Advice Abby. Now then, would you all—those who expressed a dislike for "some" mods—be so kind as to grace us with the names of moderators who are rude and explain in what instance they were rude? |

^ And when you are explaining to us who is overly rude and how, take into consideration that we too, just like you, are human beings and not robots.

But since you folks want counseling, moderators will counsel you as best as we can on this topic. Speak up. |
