For those wondering about Advice Abby --

As far as I know, Abby answers as many questions as she gets. I don't think she skips by any that are appropriate and follow the guidelines.

And yes, there is an Advice Abby section in every createBlog newspaper. As of now, it is monthly, so I guess you could say that she is active monthly.

honestly... counselling over the internet is a little unpractical... couselling for an internet issue? the problem would most likely be that you HAVE an issue on the net... get off the computer and talk to some one real...

Exactly. That's what I mean by ignorance. You don't see her posting so you think she's not responding to her mails and that she's not dependable? If you had read the thread in the Relationship forum AT ALL, you'd know that Abby is teamed up with CB News. Just because you haven't been paying attention you automatically say that Abby is someone not dependable. You're put her sincerity, dependability, honesty in question because YOU are at fault? That's what I meant by ignorance.


I do. And so did all those people who actually paid attention to Abby before blabbing on stuff they don't know about.

... do you not read? She teamed up with us. Since every newspaper has an advice column, she thought, and we heartily agree, that it'd be a good idea for us to feature her. She is NOT using cBN's account... what are you talking about? She's letting us feature her advice. What part of the word feature do you not understand?


Erm, the point is to let people know that there's an Advice Abby availble if they ever need any "COUNSELING". If you still don't get my point let me break this down as simply as I could: Abby counsels. She gives advice. Yea.

We already have Advice Abby in the relationships forum. Besides, if a member feel uncomfortable, they can PM anyone to talk about it.

But why should anyone want a CB councelor? it's the internet.

Then wouldnt alot of newbies start going crazy and bother the counsellors (or however you spell it) everytime just because they never read the community guidelines?

i think this counseling thing is a good idea...but not for things like member bashing. advice abby seems to be a one time thing. she just gives you one answer (if she does answer) and moves on. some people need more than just one paragraph of advice. plus, you can't have two people discussing one thing in a thread because that's spam and you can't ask advice abby for more advice because she has other priorities.

When did you sent it to her? We've got no complaint since she joined our team in June.

As for getting more than one advice, you only get one advice from one shrink. If you want another advice you'd have to pay for another shrink. If you don't think Abby is enough, talk to a friend or a real life counselor. It's not plausible to expect detailed responses to everything that goes on in your life from someone over the net. No one, certainly not cB members anyway, can help you with that except for your close friends and family.

erm i think that if people start having problems on cB then they could just stop using it.....and i dont think that the counselors could help very much because what are they suppose to do... go to the person whos bulling the other person and be lik stop bothering him ur making him go crazy?

i sent it to her in may...i don't know the exact date because i made up an e-mail address and i forget what it was, i'm trying to remember though.

it doesn't matter that much anyway, i solved the problem.

o yea and also, i do agree that some of the mods are kinda rude...
