Hey, i've used the search bar and i don't think there is another thread like thos. Anyway, have any of you cbers been streotyped because of your race/religion? I'm black and i get it a lot. I just wanted to see if anyone else has, and if so, how do you respond to it?

Edit//

and stereotyping for anything else you can think of

i guess your saying they stereotype you because you're different in your own way. A lot of people get that. I wouldn't say it was stereotyping, but at the same time, it kinda is.

Yes. People still try to use those idiotic dumb blonde jokes against me. It's annoying. AND the thing that pisses me off the most is when a Christian asks me if I'm Christian, I reply no, and the first thing out of their mouth is, "Are you an Atheist?" I. Want. To. Strangle. Every. Single. One. Of. Those. Mofos.

Yeah.
I'm placed into certain groups because of how I dress, the music I listen to, my sexuality, and other things like that, but not because of my race... basically everyone here is white.

I've been hella stereotyped because of my race, my clothes, and the way I act. I've been categorized as the stereotypical "Chinese Ching Chong" shit, and the "Gangster" category, and the "Wankster" category because of guys that think their gangsters. I name a gang and they have never heard of em before :/ maybe except the bloods and crips. But I name a local one and its like "Who the f**k are they"... ok im done

I think I'm stereotyped when people find out that Geena is actually my daughter, and I was 13 when I had her.

Women and girls think I'm slutty, and guys will think I put out easier.

Well I'm constantly on the watch for people stereo-typing me for my race because I'm Hispanic and I don't fit in the stereo-type at all. But so far, not for that, but for being a "nerdy geeky" kinda person. Which bugs me but whoever does that I just look them straight in the eye and say "I have a life but obviously you don't seeing that you're even mentioning it about me." That always gets 'em shifty.gif They're all in my class of course, because to a person who doesn't know me they wouldn't have guessed I'm the high-achiever of the class when they first look at me.

Well, I live in a very small, narrow-minded town so yeah. Just because I don't strike up a conversation without anything breathing, everybody thinks I'm quiet and shy but really, I am far from. And also, because I don't listen to pop and instead listen to "weird" music I am considered "punk rock." _dry.gif

i live in hong kong, and there are basically 0.03% black people here,
and SOME asians look at us like dirt even though i take a shower 2
times a day and scrub myself with the nicest soap. I feel more cleaner then them.

im not being a stereotype but seriously, it can get terrible here in hong kong.
for example " screaming and running away when they see you" or " calling you black ghost", my friend is australian and some old woman called her " white ghost" and maybe thats why i don't make friends with chinese from local school, some are nice, but you know, form experience, i can never tell which chinese like or dislike black people.

but you know they can get nice in one point " when their selling thier stuffs to you,
cause they know you got the cash", thats just bullshit!
