Well, I was looking at the skins and I realized there are no tabulas skins. I've only been there, I don't know livejournal, xanga, or anything else (besides from tabulas). I could contribute by sharing some tabulas skins, but there is no tabulas section. I was hoping someone would open it so I'd be able to upload my layouts. Hope I get a reply soon!

Tabulas is not as well known as other blogging services that we offer layouts and other goodies for. Since Tabulas does not have a large fanbase, I doubt createBlog will start to offer skins for it.

It's a blog host (same as livejournal) and skinning-it is as hard (for newbies) because it requires special codes (same as livejournal). It would be pretty cool if we had skins here ready to go.

Sorry, I don't know how to delete posts. I wish I could learn how to code anything else. And why is it that hard to do? I mean they ask suggestions and deny some because they're "not that popular" what is that supposed to mean? They don't even need to make layouts, just add a subdirectory.

and it's not hard at all to make a tabulas section at all but to be honest...i have NEVER even heard of tabulas for the whole year (or so) that i have been on createblog...i have never seen anyone with a link to their personal tabula so if we don't think anyone is going to use the section...than why would we put it on the site. maybe if the community as a whole started to show some interest in tabulas than we would add it. maybe you could do that...spread the word about them...

And uh. createBlog itself has more members than Tabulas does.

I doubt we're going to have a section for Tabulas. We already have 5 forums with many subforums dedicated to the "popular" blog resources. Why have an entire forum for it when nobody knows it ? I've never even heard of it 'till now.

Oh, I wasn't trying to imply that you were asking for a Tabulas forum. I actually checked out Tabulas, and they have their own set of forums linked on the main page so perhaps you could post up layouts there.

But anyway. I was just pointing out that createBlog has more members than the Tabulas service, because typically the sites that we offer skins/scripts/etc. for have more users than our forum.

Xanga, Blogger, & Myspace undoubtedly have more than a million members.
Also, they've been around a lot longer than Tabulas.

it's not that we don't care; you're getting the wrong idea. it's just that you're the only createblog member we've known who uses it. you would be the only member submitting any skins there.

I know some designers that use it but as I said, I'll drop it right now (before I get violent (just kidding) )

Well, perhaps sometime in the future, if Tabulas becomes really popular, createBlog will start offering goodies, but for the time being, we'll just leave it dropped. btw, I like your username.

sweetie I think you are missing the big point here. Would you sell an earwax lollipop? No, because there is low demand. There might be a few random people, but it wouldnt compete with a tootsit roll pop or a blow pop. Well this tabula thing is something no one here has heard of, so providing skins for it, when createblog users dont use it is pointless. Everyone is just trying to stress that it has no purpose. If tabula catches on, and I mean really catches on, then cB might add a section for their skins. But I mean, cB has been around since 2003 and has more members than this tabula that your are talking about. It just isnt worth the time and effort yet.
