CODE
<style type="text/css">
.blogbody b, .standard b, p b, strong {
font-weight: bold;
color: #b8b8b8;}

.blogbody i, .standard i, p i, em {
font-weight: italic;
color: #b8b8b8;}
</style>

Anything wrong with the code?
You can see from my xanga that only the dates change color, but not the bolded words in my entries.

I don't know if this will help, but you can try it. I already replaced the hex color codes with the ones you had.

Bold

Italic

For one thing, it should be font-style:italic;, not font-weight:italic;.

I pulled mine straight off my site. It works perfectly fine. Are you sure that's the problem?

i don't know if this is gonna help but this was what i used on my old layout
CODE
U {font-family: arial; color: #000000; letter-spacing:; font-size: 11px; font-style: border; border-bottom: 1pt solid #ffffff;}

P {font-family:arial; color:#ffffff; font-size: 8pt; text-align:justify;}

B, STRONG {font-family:arial; font-weight: heavy; color: #000000; :none; font-size: 11px; letter-spacing:0pt}

i, EM {font-family:times new roman; color: #000000; :none; font-size: 11px;}

this will edit your bold, italics, regular, and underline.

Now the words on my xanga change when italicized, but not when bolded.

I want to know if any other xanga scripts will conflict with the change color when bold script?

P.S. I used the code joizei__18 gave me.
