everyone thinks southerners don't wear shoes and stuff. and we marry our first cousins. and we DO know what DVD players are.
and sweet tea is actually good, you know. and our accents do not suck. |

this show in food network has this lady chef with a deep southern accent. it's too hilarious, it's super different how we talk in hawaii.
if you were to talk like that here, you're probably gonna get beaten up by some tongans. |

I live in Houston, and I don't have an accent at all. But I can't really tell if someone has an accent or not. Why should it matter anyhow?

*^* PROUD TO LIVE IN TENNESSEE *^* the place where i was born and still today raised!!! people think of tennessee people as Hillbillys. UMMMM NOPE!! we really have nothing different about us then our accents. I know if someone moved from here to somewhere up north we would sound different. just the same for nothern if you moved down here you'd be different too. well this was all basically im my opinion. i hope no ones offended.

marry their first cousin? O____O;; that sounds scary. And yeah I agree with Roxanne. I like their odd taste in music too, it's interesting? or whatever that word is in my mind that I just can't think of. I wonder if I have the accent of Southerner...wait no, I don't.

Born, Raised, and growing up in Texas Y'all.
Any I don't know what you're sayin, we don't have none of that "accent" you people keep throwin 'round[/joke] But hey, I like being southern. It's tougher down here, and people don't expect alot out of you. So, when you end up doing great you suprise them. Anyways, I don't not know what you're gettin at, we's just as smart as you.[/joke] |

Born in California, raised in Texas. Don't ask me how that happened. I don't have an accent, fortunatly. It's not that bad, but I'd rather not. Tons of rednecks where I live. But they're always good for a laugh.

I was raised in PA and just moved to Ok... most people actually don't have accents here, but occasionally you'll get an intelligent conversation with some nine year old...
"Ya'll ya'll sisters, ya'll?" My god. Random: you know how people say that everyone has some kind of accent or another? And you just don't notice it with yourself? Well, then, how come everyone on TV talks with a NorthEastern accent? See? We have no accent!! and more random: my kitten just discovered she loves popcorn. Nut. |
