layman's term:
You are all against having a sex education forum.

In the boys/girls locker, there are MANY threads that have been created that are related to sex education.

Why have those of you who oppose the idea, not mentioned this? It's damn near close to being a sex education forum, minus the other topics that obviously don't pertain to it.

Going by what you are saying about the sex education forum, it implies that any other forum that would contain similar content be against what cb is/whatever other excuse/comment made up.

another example.

see how the people who would be uncomfortable discussing it have NOT posted in my topic in relationships? there's a warning at the top of the topic to not read further if you're uncomfortable with discussing sexual things. therefore, these people have exited the topic.

it would work the same way with the sex forum. in the rules, it would say "those who are uncomfortable with discussing sexual things probably don't want to read any of these topics" and those who are uncomfortable wouldn't read them. why would they read them if they don't want to?

this thread is moving at light speed...

having a sex forum is just like moving half of the boys/girls locker room threads to the sex forum + new threads ... its just like having a music forum... threads from entertainment get moved to the music forum and new threads get made...

did that make any sense? i dont know... vote for basick

And i don't understand why everyone thinks that because i'm against it, i'm some prude, sheltered teenager.

you don't have to have sex everyday to be against a sex forum.

you don't know me, so shut up.
*

Since when do you have to have sex everyday to want to be informed about sex?

I think a sex-ed. forum would make people feel a bit more comfortable and they would open up a little more and actually ask for some advice or share some advice. I don't see any harm in that if the forum allows only mature members and such.

there could be though. if these sex topics fit perfectly then i'll just go and post all the questions and things i want to discuss with some members on here.

apparently that should be fine.

i actually think that's a perfectly good question, just not stated that way. i, as well as whoever would post that, would like to know exactly how it works with two people other than you stick it in and go for it..

Yeah, I didn't necessarily think of that, but that type of reaction happens on any and every part of cB.

why? what reason is there to assume they wouldnt just be given a link to an existing topic and told to use the search butto, as is the case in other forums?

^i didnt mean as a duplicate topic. and iv'e seen it happen in another sex forum. pretty much everyone who hadn't had sex was disreguarded as stupid and innocent

so why do we care if people in the lockers say something isn't pg-13?

And how exactly would you be able to moderate whether a member is mature or not? You can't just tell someone I don't think you're mature, therefore you cannot enter the Sex Forum. There are different meanings of maturity. How would you judge someone as being mature and keep the immature members out of the forum?

well you wouldn't, but just as if someone is overly immature in the lounge and we warn them, we would do the same there.

i think whta they meant was to asscertain whether or not the forum wa being treated maturely, and to close it if that wasnt the case

i.e. its ok if handled well, not if this isnt the case

I'm not sure. You could have an 'application' to get into the sex forum if you wanted to, and then those that would moderate the forum could judge whether or not you appear mature enough to enter. If you go in and you fail to meet the standards, then your access could be denied.

You could judge their maturity by reading their posts.

Ignorance, stupidity and immaturity. You really think anyone is going to ask that quesiton in that manner? :haha: if someone honestly and truly wanted to ask how one has sex, then they'd do it in a mature manner... like "I don't know if this is stupid or not, but me and my girlfriend kinda want to have sex. I'm kinda scared, since I'm a virgin, so I would like some tips on... maybe how to have sex? What would I do?" See? A sincerely serious questin. Not like the stupid one you immitated _smile.gif Even I'd scold the damn kid for asking the way you hypothetically asked it.

and does this not sound like a good deal more trouble than it's worth? the girl's locker has become so immature that i dont go in there, so i dont think the sex forum will last more than a couple of links before other people discover it

You can make it visible to only certain people or certain member groups like you can with the backstage forum.

i was just trying to make the point that most people n cb aren't very mature
