I love star wars episode iii. I can't believe the saga is over. I thought the ending was weird though.

The acting... sucked. Everytime there was an intense scene gripped with emotion, it was ruined by poor acting. Palpatine was a horrible actor. He more or less reminded me of a villain in a Disney movie rather than someone hellbent on world domination.

It's not really the actors' faults, though. Hayden Christianson, Samuel L. Jackson, Natalie Portman...they're all actually really good actors. The others, too. I mean, it definitely had a good cast. But look at the script--even a good actor can't make that shoddy and cheesey dialogue work.

Even so, I thought it was a very good movie. Some of the parts were quite well done, and it was a bit corny, but hey, all the Star Wars movies are (including the original trilogy). It's part of their charm. I think it told the story of Anakin quite well, and was much better done than the first two. I think it was even up there with the original trilogy in many respects.

i beg to differ

there were a lot of things i would've implemented into the script.

first off, i understand they wanted him to talk more like james earl jones when he's in that black costume. in my opinion, it would've been better to really show all that shit that would build up into him being bad. i wanted to see him EXPLODE into the dark side. you know what i mean?

you see him talk to palpatine: oh you are a traitor. i am goin to get you arrested
10 minutes later: i will do whatever you say, master. (btw i hated the way he said master- referring back to the previous paragraph)

wtf

the struggle in attacking windu and switching to the darkside hardly seemed conceivable as a struggle. he just gave in. i didn't feel him turning bad at all. he's suppose to be torn between being good and saving his wife. i've seen kids more frustrated with not getting a toy they want. he should be upset, hesitant, and out of luck when saying "i will do whatever you say, master." all i really wanted him to do was show a range of dynamics in his voice. the only time i was wowed by anything was after ben stabbed him and anakin was lying there burning up and yelling at him. that was like ohmy.gif good f**kin shit. loved the fight scenes, but it doesn't make up for the dialogue completely.

That just seems to emphasize my point that the script was lackluster in some parts.
