let's start by telling you what truth is not:
truth is not anti-smoker. We love smokers. In fact, we love everybody. truth isn't about passing judgement on people or the choices they make. As far as we're concerned, smoker, non-smoker, non-issue.

And truth is not here to tell you, or anyone else, what to do. We hate when people do that. So you're never gonna hear any "just say 'no' to cigarettes" stuff from us. But there's an industry out there that makes billions of dollars selling a product that's responsible for over 1,200 deaths a day in the U.S. alone. This industry spends more than $34 million each day advertising and promoting those products, and it's entrenched itself in our culture by deceiving and manipulating the public. truth just thinks everyone ought to know more about that industry and the things they do.

truth makes sure all the facts are available. That way, when you make your own decisions, they can be based on all the information, not just those things tobacco companies want you to think. But truth is also an idea, and maybe it's bigger than just tobacco. It's about thinking for yourself and not allowing friends, teachers, politicians, television, movies or an industry to do it for you. It's about making your own decisions based on knowledge and respecting the choices others make as well. So go ahead. Apply truth liberally and wipe some on your friends.

Eh .. the things in your body that get affected by smoking is pretty nasty. I think they should show those things. But yeah, I also love the Truth production called "Fair Enough" It shows what cigarette companies are doing. Also, there was an interview of one of the big executives of one big cigarette company when asked would they give their children cigarettes the guy said no way.

I think the commercials are annoying. There are a few that are good though. Makes people who already smoke regret it even more and those people who work in cigarette companies lose money.

The thing is ... if we're more informed less people will stop smoking in the future. Catch the drift? Of course we can't prevent smokers right now ... but stopping future ones will probably help a lot of people .. except the smoking company.

So lets ignore the positive impact that tobacco has on our economy or even how our rights would be stripped from us by the banning of these beloved cancer sticks. Lets look at the facts and how many people got lung cancer last year and are terminally ill. There's the Surgeon General's warning on the back of every pack and carton, who's fault is it? Lets blame the wicked tobacco companies!!!

Is there anyone out there attacking Anheuser Busch? Or Pfizer and Zeneca Pharmeceuticals?

Maybe its just me, but when you turn on a tv and see a TRUTH commercial after the Blacked Eyed Peas video, its as if this encouraged social/political awareness is marketed in such a matter that it is merely a trend. "Wow, those commercials are hella deep, man. Save the environment and save my lungs. I'm down with TRUTH!" Umm, err, yeah. So are you anti-tobacco because of truth commercials or are you anti-tobacco because you seriously, whole-heartedly, see something wrong with the leaf itself?

Do you see how many smokers are out there? I don't think these commercials are doing such a hot job.

Did I mention the future .. or did you not catch that part?

Anyway, it's somewhat weird to smoke. I mean so many people know what the after effects of smoking .. I mean, you obviously don't have to try it. Like someone said before, there's a warning on every pack. Let's put it into simple matters, you know how well what a sharp knife can do and you obviously don't have to stab yourself in the heart to know what it feels to be stabbed in the heart. It hurts much like anything sharp that comes in contact with your body .. probably even much more than that.

Yes, you did mention the future. But the present is the future. If you know what I mean. They've had anti-smoking commercials in the past. So this is the future. A future of SMOKAHS.

The Truth is geared towards making the people aware of what tabacco companies do not make the people aware of. The truth is NOT an anti-smoking campaign!
